The part towards the end in which Washizu asks the evil spirit about his fate and the three other entities appear,. . . I am obsessed with it and have re-wound it again and again and again.I dig the booming laughter of the second demon. Also"If you follow the path of bloodshed, then reach the very pinnacle of evil".Words to live by.
@Pancerni I'll try to dig up my thesis paper from college English, it was about whether or not Throne of Blood was a tale of Fatalism to a greater extent than Macbeth, which I always took as a tale primarily about incredibly flawed humanity. To this day I maintain that it was but it's always fun to talk about.
@pimphofoo Thank you kindly!!,I am much obliged.Fate is a weird concept, but one I cannot seem to doubt."I am what I am,someone has to be"seems very true to me,even if that makes me a villain.Again, thank you!
I just recently saw Roman Polanski's film adaptation of the play, it's arguably one of the best film adaptations of any literary work. Yet I still haven't seen this or Lawrence Olivier's Hamlet.
Oh, no.. not her again!

This is great stuff! If you enjoy the horror / suspense aspects of this film you should definitely check out 'Onibaba' as well.

This film is much scarier than those stupid horror films, though it's not a horror flick.

i definetely prefer Polanski's version at least in terms of the filming/effects and stuff. the way Kurosawa films just doesnt sit wel with me... D:
but i must say that the plot he put forward does deserve much recognition. overall, it was pretty insightful. :D
