It sounds bad because he used the crappy built in mic on the camera, and he shot it 15 feet away from the amp. Get a job and move out of your parents house, ya barefoot hippie!
Nice. When playin stuff like that darkness song, just use the guitars controls and your own touch. There's no need to mess with the amps controls to change from dirty to clean.
Ya know, I've always thought that Barracuda made a great hard rock song, and that Guns N' Roses missed a great opportunity to cover this song. Can you imagine Axl and Slash on that song????!!!!
Tinny sound is because of the camera mic. This thing absolutely rocks, got one today. Go to guitar center and try it for yourself.
Small gigs? ahhh, that may be stretching it, if you were playing Without a full drum kit hell yea, but there isn't enough headroom to play with drums without mic-ing it. IMHO
I was getting some great sounds out of it but it was a bit too small and it felt like I was limited on volume. Plus I didn't like the reaction that it had with pedals. Maybe I didn't give it enough time, who knows?
A lot of people are getting great sounds out of them on here like I did, but I wanted something a bit louder.
I got a mesa boogie instead. Express 5:25. It cost me a dollar or two more though. :)

CAN you use this with ONLY headphones? Or does the tubes get damage or something without a cab connected..

Just mic it ...as long as you got a nice house system to plug into w/monitors and all.
paraglidermx 2 years ago
true that. I ended up returning mine to GC anyway though.
I have been playing out of my Marshall DSL 201 pretty much exclusively lately.
buckster7777 2 years ago
Why did u return it?I was going to get one,the head and plug into a custom v30cab.w/a reverb and delay pedal.

I dont know, just wasnt doing it for me.

@xntrickk Well make sure you make your final judgment based on the world's worst webcam mic in existence.

what are the dimensions for the blackstar HT 5?
I can't find them anywhere.
crow516 3 years ago 2
The dimensions are 1x10
I'm thinking of getting one of these babies. Has the best reviews of any amp I've seen in its price range.
If volume is an issue for gigging, I plan to hook it up to a blackstar 1x10 extension cab.
For $150 extra, why not?
burk909 2 years ago
Hey what volume did you have that on? And would you do small gigs with it without micing it up?
