@sporto10101010 You can go down a list of how many mariners that have been traded away and became starters or key players for other teams. Now it's 2011 and we are again at the bottom of major league baseball with no clue on how to get better. For years I keep hearing talk show dudes and fans say if we trade Ichiro we will become a better team. Well how did that work for us with all the other guys we traded away. The talent scouts need to be traded away for the last few years of junk.

On his feet he's blazing and he throws at least as hard as Roberto Clemente ever did, who before Ichiro came along was the best Right fielder of all time. Ichiro is like 3 ball players in one. He doesn't need a relay or cutoff. Don't try stretching it to 3rd or home with the ball in Ichiro's hand, suicide. Single's become doubles at ease, and his situation awareness is off the charts. To top it all off, HE IS A 90 MPH PITCHER!

I was shocked out of my mind when i watched that blast. It was late and i was about to go to bed. When sweeny hit the double. I think it was sweeney. I then thought ooooh Mo vs Ichiro. Game ova! Mo would slam the door. I was wrong and ichiro hit the first pitch for a bomb to right field. That was the last blown save i believe by rivera in the season
