  • I finally bought the cd tonight to support the band and to listen to in my car(still have a cd player) and I think it is a great deal to get a full dvd and live cd and behind the scenes for 12 bucks.....amazing...

  • I know right xD

  • i CANT TELL YOU HOW MANY FUCKING TIMES IVE SEEN THIS DVD AND THIS PERFORMACE....ITS FUCKING IDIOTIC!!!! XD XD X XD XD XD XVFSDTHDJFJDT FHSDTFY

  • God.... Tommy just looks so effortless up there and fills up that whole place. This band is just truly amazing live and have a sound and writing skills like no other. It just blows my fucking mind. BTBM is music. That is all.

  • @TheBigDylan13 you are so right... we are blessed to have learned of this band. this group of the best musicians ive ever laid eyes on.. have you hear the primer ochestral cover or boot dagger boogie? dude type them in, listen...wooo so sick

  • Can't spell Paul Waggoner without PWN.

  • francamente una de las mejores bandas a mi gusto personal. La intro se destaca en este tema pero el tema en si es muy llevadero y no se torna denso como pasa en otras bandas. Simplemente \m/_

  • COMFORT!!!!

  • one thing ive found is that you MUST see btbam headline...if they open for someone else they simply dont have the time to properly melt faces...although they melt mine everytime:)

  • GIves me chills everytime i hear it.

  • I can rip this on rock band, but since I got a hatchet through my hand...real guitar got a lot harder.

  • So technical... Face.. .Melting... So good...

  • They play this so well live!

  • i could cry, so fucking epic...

  • For those of you who can't enjoy their brutal screaming and heavy guitars, I really suggest listening to "Desert of Song" it's one of my favorite songs from BTBAM.

  • I just can't stand brutal singing. I understand it and appreciate, but seriously I just can't stand it. It's sad cause this band looks awesome besides that, but that's my opinion :P

  • @MisterOjeteMoreno Haha give it time and keep listening, you'll find that it will grow on you. In the meantime though, check out Viridian. It's instrumental, but it showcases the musicianship and talent of the band. The middle of Backwards Marathon and the second half of Mordecai are also clean, and very moving.

  • i really like the originality of this band but I seriously have a hard time understanding what hes saying and im a huge metal fan don't get me wrong and this band is awesome but I really wish his heavy scream had some more clarity to them

  • @anoceanbetweenus89 I can honestly understand him rather clearly, hmm..I must just have epic ears

  • @ElusiveWolf33 must bet...must be lol

  • DANS FREAKING HANDS ARE SO HUGE

  • For me, it's not about "looking past" the heavy stuff. It's not something I normally like, but through actually caring about what they're doing, and possessing some crazy awesome natural talent, they MAKE it work. VERY effectively. True musicianship.

  • My dad just turned 53 and normally isn't a fan of extreme music but loved this show and started listening to their other cds. That's how good they are.

  • It soon was noticed that these three had torn every branch, every single stem... Torn to it's last life...!

  • their so insane live. its unreasonable!

  • @Parvenu333 everybody do have their differnt opinions but you need to shut the fuck up

  • They sound so fuckin good live

  • i don't know, but do the lyrics change in this from the recording? on the album it says "it started to catch the attention..." not "it started to attract the attention"

  • tommy rogers is so impressive live

  • When you're this good, screw stage presence! I freakin' love their live performences

  • @WaRmAkEr187 that means that this band is tiiiiiiiiiiight. i love it :P

  • The bassist is totally into his playingeh? anyone else thing the vocalist kinda does hand movements and that like a pop singer though? kinda unusual, but it is an unusual band(Y)

  • @WaRmAkEr187 the reason its sounds like a studio recording is because the people that made recorded this video and edited it and what not made it like that... no bands sound exactly like they do on an album

  • @MrTylerRich go see between the buried and me in concert then. it will throw a HUGE hole in your little theory here.

  • @ku62jo62 umm nooo.. its impossible to sound exactly like a studio album it never sounds that clean ever.... t rust me...and this band sucks anyways.. 80's metal is way better

  • @MrTylerRich you, sir, are a fucking idiot. this is off of the LIVE dvd. the colors portion of it (which this is from) was done in 1 take. no edits. 63 straight minutes of playing. 99% flawless. don't believe me? watch the entire colors portion of the dvd. watch the seamless transitions between songs. watch how the band never changes clothes or stage position. watch the interviews with the band that talks about how much they practiced for this dvd.

  • @MrTylerRich obvious troll is obvious

  • @MrTylerRich You sir are a fucking idiot, lot's of bands pull off nearly flawless live shows. Just because all of the bands you listen to put on shitty live shows doesn't mean these guys can't.

  • @MrTylerRich Check out bands like August Burns Red, RX Bandits, and The Chariot. They pull off Flawless shows, I should know I have seen them live. RX Bandits and The Chariot even record their albums live so why would they sound any different?

  • @thousandfootkrutchro got to see the chariot live..along with car bomb and gojira..fucking amazing show!

  • @Parvenu333 Dude go ahead if you have to. Cool song either way. BTW how do you think genres exist - people copy each other.

  • @WaRmAkEr187 Hell, they sound better, crisper.

  • @MrSheepboat protest can't touch btbam when it comes to live performances

  • @colonelkermit They're both pretty epic. Personally I like Protest's lead singer better, both are just insane to watch though.

  • @colonelkermit As a massive Protest fan, I'm going to have to agree. Rody just can't hold up. The only solid live members in Protest are Tim, Arif and Moe (the rhythm section). These guys (btbam) have every fucking aspect down (I'm not even a fan of theirs.. yet. Or I guess I should say.. I've just discovered them).

  • @colonelkermit Noone can

  • @colonelkermit I think BTBAM is worse live than PTH. Colors Live they were good but most the BTBAM concerts I went to the performance was somewhat horrible.

  • @colonelkermit I like them both and I have seen them both and you sir are right....I love the new protest album though.

  • masterpiece of musicians, engenieers and all the people who made this sound so amazing, just like the album

  • Is the guitarist wearing a 'Behold... the Arctopus' t-shirt?

  • The song is great, but that vocal... ick. It kills the song. I'm not one for liking song do to it being fast or technical (i consider that musical ignorance.) This song is cool because I can hear the emotion in the music. The vocal... screaming for no reason at all. It doesn't fit at all.

  • @BassManGilbert your face doesnt fit at all

  • @PTMFH When do you love them?

  • @Parvenu333 dude honestly if u could do that thatd be sick haha but doesnt it all well not all but rock n rolly derive from latin then blues then jazz n country

  • gotta love Tommys vocals man, hes classically trained, he can sing as well not jus scream. Has a few different types of screams and shit too

  • @YOWHATTHEHELL i'll admit i love the song but the vocals bring it down so low, but the guitar, the drums, and the bass are EPIC.

  • @Fullyloaded43 ya man, Paul Waggoner the guitarist legitimately doesnt make mistakes

  • @Parvenu333 I'm not an asshole, I'm just waiting to see these similarities, so whenever you want to go ahead.

  • @Parvenu333 Please, enlighten me.

  • @Parvenu333 That's your opinion, I know people who feel the way you do about rap music and think its complex and artistic, to each his own.

  • @Parvenu333 Yeah I completely disagree, if that was the case every band in existence has been progressing backwards, we all have our influences and are going to sound a bit like them whether intentionally or not. It's unfortunate you are one of the few to actually listen these guys and not recognize their music prowess.

  • @Parvenu333 Btbam is one of the best bands out there no doubt... i don't hate on rap but in this day and age, it is shit except for kid cudi and eminem and a few others. but i am probably one of the most open people when it comes to music. Obviously you have a huge problem understanding the complexity of the art of music in all of its forms.

  • @Parvenu333 I'm assuming you listen to rap? lol show me any other band that sounds better than they do live and is a fraction of diverse as they are. Probably never gonna happen any time soon

  • i hate death metal because of the screaming but this is just sick these guys are true musicians

  • 5:16 makes me think of some creepy organ grinder with a monkey in some dark foggy street in london. this is probably the most dynamic, original, talented, musically perfect band I have EVER heard, they have their own sound, yet none of their soungs sound the same,or even similar, they changed tones, tempos, and rhythms so much in every song.theyre the only band i know that can get away with double bass, screaming and sweeping AND a jazz solo, creepy organ grinder vocals and a trio of harmony vocals.

  • no comparison live just epicness

  • paul waggoner, i love you :D

  • A friend recommended me this band. I love my friend.

  • If I was ever running into battle I would want the intro to this song playing.

  • lmfao im sweating

  • @ShroomSamich - The universe was created to this intro.

  • @davethehostage

    twas sir daveth

  • 5:15 to 6:05 is the most epic shit ever.

  • Someone tell me why this band is so insanely wonderful?

  • i <3 BTBAM. Seriously, great band!

  • this song is freakin epic

  • very good live.

  • the comfort part isn't as impressive as on the album... but the rest is perfect ♥

  • @poolgarth they aren't good, they are awesome lml

  • Great band.

  • @WaRmAkEr187 They are probably the most accurate band live, and to play such complex music at the same time just blows my mind. If you haven't seen them live already, do yourself a favor and see them soon.

  • Sloppy bass kick 1:07 XD Whatever he probably did it on prupose since he's so good.

  • this song is in their top 5 best in my opinion

  • People that don't like bands like this can't see past the vocals, the heavy guitars, the double bass, they see the just the brutal part. They don't see the beauty and epicness (if thats a word) of the pieces bands like this write. Once you see and feel past the everything and come in touch with the music you can only then begin to appreciate it. I don't even consider them a heavy band anymore. Its weird. Even though parts of their music is brutal, all I see is beauty

  • @YOWHATTHEHELLUP71 Totally true...

  • @YOWHATTHEHELLUP71 i got this comment up to +72 on another btbam vid.

  • @YOWHATTHEHELLUP71 In my opinion the vocals go against the final product. I mean: The music is awsome, fucking awsome, and in fact is very melodic and really cool, but for me that weird vocals damage the hole song. A more melodic voice, with less screams will help a lot.

  • @quilico I totally agree with you

  • @YOWHATTHEHELLUP71 that sums up my thoughts :D

    Epic/intense beauty.

    <3

  • @YOWHATTHEHELLUP71 all i hear is the horrible vocalist and his horrible lyrics.

  • @EpsilonX ah stfu.

  • @EpsilonX dude if you dont like then why did un click on this video you know why talk shit about a band who has more talent in one of their hairs then you do in your entire pathetic little life

  • @slayero8o9 because i wanted to hear what this sounded like live, and because the vocalist sounds terrible. why else would i click on this + comment? seriously, you're a fucking idot.

  • @YOWHATTHEHELLUP71 I couldn't agree more

  • @YOWHATTHEHELLUP71 the brutal vocals are what makes metal awesome

  • @YOWHATTHEHELLUP71 haha ur right im like you cant feel the heavy just the ingenuity these guys have all put together the beats the notes and the lyrics just epic combo these guys made

  • @YOWHATTHEHELLUP71 i wish i could have sex with your comment

  • @ku62jo62 it does too.

  • @YOWHATTHEHELLUP71 actually im not the idiot just cuz its a LIVE dvd, that doesnt mean shit they actually EDIT IT, to make it sound clean and not all muffled up, its basically like a MUSIC VIDEO dumb ass

  • @MrTylerRich yeah, for bands with no talent they do that. this band needs no edits. you haven't seen them in concert... I HAVE. therefore i have more credibility on the matter. yeah, sure, they recorded the sound boards in order to record the optimal sound (the colors dvd is in dolby 5.1 digital), but if you were in the crowd at the perfect spot where the speakers all converge, YOU WOULD HEAR FLAWLESS METAL LIKE IN THIS VIDEO!

  • @YOWHATTHEHELLUP71 I used to hate btbam like 6 years ago but I never sat and really listened to what was going on. Over the years they have become my favorite band and I, like you, don't even consider them heavy anymore

  • @YOWHATTHEHELLUP71 So rare to see someone describe music like that. Kudos bro, glad to see you enjoy the music on such a deep level.

  • @RikkudoSennin Its rare to find bands like this, bands that can create melodies like the opening to this song, simply amazing.

  • @YOWHATTHEHELLUP71 i believe the word is EPICOSITEDNESS (epic-osi-ted-ness) yessss.

  • amazing

  • One of the few that can actually preform live and not suck! +5 Awsomeness for that.

    BTBAM OWNS!

  • @Hef654 i saw them last year in grand rapids with mastodon it was pure gold seemed like they didn't even miss a note

  • i was there right in front of paul. i think that was the night i quit guitar from being drunk on his talent. haha

  • I love this band so much, his facial expressions are priceless hahahaha

  • sawn them live when they toured with dream theater . . .

  • This band defies words, I can't express how amazing this song is... and it sounds absolutely badass, especially live. Must see this band.

  • does tommy inhale?

  • No.

  • absolutely not.

  • some of the nicest guys I've ever met.

  • That's what she said ;p

  • Godly!

  • I can't believe they didn't play this song when they came through Calgary Back in September!!!! This song is so amazing!!! lol

  • Prog Folk Jazz Death Magic Awesome Metal never sounded so utterly fantastic.

  • met these guys last night at Lamb of God in Glasgow, fucking epic lads :)

  • @LeafyBoy101 You lucky Bastard!

  • dan is the king.

  • his voice is probably too tired to do that live

  • I'm seeing these guys tomorrow in Montreal! Can't friggin wait!!! =D

  • 1:30-2:00 MY FACE IS FOREVER GONE...

  • ill be there saturday as well!

  • this is so awesome that i nearly peed in my pants... im watching them live soon!!!

  • seeing them Saturday. Cant wait.

  • man, I'm gonna see these guys in Gothenburg on March 11. can't fucking wait

  • I should have watching them at Australia in soundwave 10

  • That Shit Rocks!!!

  • COMFORT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • he looks freaky at 3:49

  • i think he was acting out the part in the song o.o

  • Exactly like the CD. A perfect live perfomance. Only thing that could of been better is if they'd have got the original vocalist at 6:16. His voice is so epic it makes me hurt.

  • They only had Tommy do vocals on this album... what are you talkin about O.o?

  • actually nah man they did have a guest come in for the vocals his name was Adam Fisher (of Fear Before)

  • @zerox8610 no the singer from the dillinger escape plan does guest vocals on this song.

  • @DrinkSkateSleep Are you an idiot? It's Adam Fisher from Fear Before, not the whoever from TDEP.

  • The Colors: Live DVD is fucking EPIC. Anyone who is a fan should own it.

  • This is my first exposure to BTBAM and, I am darn impressed!! I went and got the album after seeing this video, and aside from the artificial harmonics on the guitar parts around 3:40, and the ending, the live performance is near perfect!! I'm a little shocked, being an Opeth, Becoming the Archetype, Dream Theater, etc fan, I should have heard these guys years ago... I read the singer and lead guitarist are from straight-edge bands, and the others look the part as well..

  • found them on an opeth forum :)

  • ThugChill69, even your username is fucking stupid. I can't believe you wasted your time typing that out. Good luck sorting your life out.

  • ello

  • Uhhh, what the fuck did you just say?

You have no grammar skills in the damn world. And that bullshit made no sense. These guys do have talent. Look at them! Can you ever move that fast? Or maybe even, you know, GROWL? Try doing it. You probably can't without hurting yourself.

  • Way to be an ignorant fuck... Keep your ignorance to yourself rather then confirming your idiocracy with the rest of the world. And to everyone else, BTBAM is not metalcore. Metalcore is the EASIEST form of metal to create, its easier then nu-metal... Anyways, please educate yourselves people before saying stupid shit

  • false nu-metal and black metal are probably the easiest. Metal-core is not bad there are some talented metalcore bands out there

  • btbam are prog/death metal

  • there is nothing my satanic then thug like activities and oral sex.

  • are you retarded? Look up the lyrics before you decide something is demonic/satanic. And by the way, it is spelled demonic, not demoniac.

  • First of all that kinda didn't make sense. Secondly are you Christian? If you are you would probably know a verse in the bible that says " Cry aloud,Don't hold back, lift your voice like a trumpet..". This means scream a message out to get attention and to let everyone know your message. Screaming in music can be one of the least demonic things to do. Doesn't matter how you say something, It's what you say that counts. Peace.

  • Wow. This is really good!

I really like 4:40, and 5:15 is funny.

  • 5:15 is probably the best part of the song.

  • prog-tastic

  • my favorite song off colors except ants of the sky

  • I'd Be More Than Willing To Tear Off My Dick With My Bare Hands To Be Anywhere Near As Flawless As Any Of Them.

  • Comment removed

  • best song on the cd. even more awesome live. these guys are the best band out there

  • Yeah. Not many bands out there who's live performance sounds EXACTLY like the album. When I went to see BTBAM live it was like listening to the CD but with them actually performing it right in front of me. It was fucking exhilarating. They put a lot of enthusiasm and energy in their performances. Was also great because HORSE the band was touring with them so I had the privilege of seeing them too. Along with other bands like Animosity.

  • Best CD ever.

  • It just blows my mind how well they can pull this off live.

  • for real

  • Hell yeah, just, Hell yeah...
