When you switch your workout from weights to cardio you leave yourself susceptible to decrease in mass. Plyometrics, high rep rows, and high rep benches get your heart pumping relatively quickly while helping you add slow twitch muscle fibers which are necessary to having a ripped appearance.

This guy is a joke. First of all, that exercise is not a "curl". It is called "wrist abduction". Secondly, it won't improve your grip, as he claims, since the extensor muscles of the forearm are being worked. They have nothing to do with finger flexion, which would be the focus if increasing grip strength was the goal. The FLEXORS are involved in gripping (and, of course, wrist flexion). This guy proves, once again, that a little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing.

I would try to lower the fat to 20% or less and try more protein.
-if you are trying to increase your weight in the process I would drop down to 1 day of light CV
-if your goal is to lose weight in the process I would stick with the 2 - 3 days of CV (but, if you are really working hard on your interval training days you can cut out the jogging and rest the extra day)
- make sure you workhard and rest so your body can make progress
@Mrposton101 not that im qualified, but i wud doubt it.... carpel tunnel is caused by very very high repitions of wrist movement, not heavy wieght.. so unless you sitting around doing this for several hours a day, i doubt it wud cause a problem if anything it wud strengthen the wrist... @Mrposton101 I don't believe you would get carpel tunnel from this because your wrist isn't bent downward for long periods of time. So the exercise wont restrict blood flow
@kotopoulo0 Your wrist is made up of many bones called the carpals. Carpal tunnel is caused when your fingers move so much from things like video games, typing, etc; that your carpals get spaces in between them and can impede movement of your wrist and fingers all together.
@kotopoulo0 the cartilage is yur wrists starts to break up, and cause a burning crackling feeling, causing pain. typing, working on car, and working out have fucked my wrists alot. i have carpal tunnel in my right wrist.

I figure, you only do this exercise, one or two times a week, for a short time, with weight. If you aren't predisposed to CPS then it shouldn't suddenly happen from exercising your forearm in this way.
@lupeakapepe If you curl 25 lbs, then you need to go into something like Accounting or basket weaving, my God, I'm an old man and I use 35lb for what he is doing, 8 times! Crap!
@lupeakapepe Yes, if you're new to weightlifting, take a dumbell that you can barely do 10 reps with, do 4-6 fast reps but correctly, then do the last ones slow enough where you can just barely get them up each time, then on the very last 2 reps, do them as slow as you can through the whole movement so that it hurts real bad. If you don't totally exhaust the muscles, you won't get much results. Do about 3 sets if you're just starting,every other day then after 3 months start doing about 5 sets.
When you do slow,high tension movements, it makes the veins start standing out, of course if you're just starting, it's going to take a few months for you to really notice something, just remember that unless you do the exercise in such a way (slow and high tension) that it really burns bad on the last few reps, you won't get much results. It isn't necessary to take any special dietary supplements, eat a lot of chicken,fish, lean beef, and fruits, just take a look at a 600lb veggie gorilla.

@Mrposton101 I don't believe you would get carpel tunnel from this because your wrist isn't bent downward for long periods of time. So the exercise wont restrict blood flow

@kotopoulo0 Your wrist is made up of many bones called the carpals. Carpal tunnel is caused when your fingers move so much from things like video games, typing, etc; that your carpals get spaces in between them and can impede movement of your wrist and fingers all together.

@kotopoulo0 the cartilage is yur wrists starts to break up, and cause a burning crackling feeling, causing pain. typing, working on car, and working out have fucked my wrists alot. i have carpal tunnel in my right wrist.

@Mrposton101 I have done this every now and then in the gym. I am not a doctor so what I'm about to say is just a guess lol.
I figure, you only do this exercise, one or two times a week, for a short time, with weight. If you aren't predisposed to CPS then it shouldn't suddenly happen from exercising your forearm in this way.

@lupeakapepe Yes, if you're new to weightlifting, take a dumbell that you can barely do 10 reps with, do 4-6 fast reps but correctly, then do the last ones slow enough where you can just barely get them up each time, then on the very last 2 reps, do them as slow as you can through the whole movement so that it hurts real bad. If you don't totally exhaust the muscles, you won't get much results. Do about 3 sets if you're just starting,every other day then after 3 months start doing about 5 sets.

When you do slow,high tension movements, it makes the veins start standing out, of course if you're just starting, it's going to take a few months for you to really notice something, just remember that unless you do the exercise in such a way (slow and high tension) that it really burns bad on the last few reps, you won't get much results. It isn't necessary to take any special dietary supplements, eat a lot of chicken,fish, lean beef, and fruits, just take a look at a 600lb veggie gorilla.
