  • Great video, thanks for sharing, i love it! *****

  • lucky LV...momma needs a new pair of shoes!

  • Love this video, good to be there in the daytime too!:)

  • Yeah this was a cool video. I enjoyed watching it. Thanks for sharing it with me.

  • Thanks Harold. You maka very good videos!

  • Loved it, awesome video, 5 star

  • Thanks, glad you like it.

  • I love Downtown, its true Las Vegas!

Fremont is awesome! So many connections to Hawaii!

So did you get your O.J.(Orange) Chicken Lunch plate at that Southern Resturant? I heard about the lunch deals they have for the many out at that side for the OJ trial. Its nice that you got footage of that!

Downtown is amazing, 5* this is in my Favorites!

And BTW Jailhouse Rock was most appropiate!LOL

Downtown and Vegas = Elvis Jailhouse Rock!

I just love it, amazing song!

  • I am glad that you liked the video. Hawaii is all over downtown. I have noticed the most for the California Hotel & Casino. That seems to be home base for Hawaii.

  • yeah, I stayed at the California just before claims of bed bugs went public. We have charter vacation agency called Vacation Hawaii which has a roundtrip package to Las Vegas at 500 dollars, On a 4 night stay at A Downtown Boyd Property including the Orleans through Omni airlines. everyday atleast 300 hawaii citizens go on vacation to LV. Vacation hawaii makes money. they use the vacation package as a gift or award for companies like our Bus system's Operator of the Year award.

  • The $500 is a very good deal. Bring a sleeping bag! Then catch the bus to the Bellagio! Bring your video camera. :)

  • Great video Rex. Thanks for another great tour of downtown. Cool to see some police and fire truck action. :) Great video, and rock on -Louie

  • Glad you liked in Louie. I keep the sirenes in the videos sometimes. There were lots of cops at every corner. They do like to shy away from the camera. Maybe the Captain told them to do so. :)

  • Sure is easier to walk around downtown than drive!

  • I always park that car and start walking. I remember when they first put the canopy over that part of Fremont Street. Park the car and get your ticket validated always works out well.

  • Awesome, 5 stars, Thanks for sharing,

  • Thanks for stopping by. You have an awsome supply on the Conway Twitty vids. I enjoyed that! Thank you too!

  • Get on that bike and ride Rex at 0:53:D

Better not, it's the Old Bill's.....!

What's OJ been up to now.?

  • Awsome looking bike. Fully functional!

O.J. spent the day sitting in a chair waiting on the action to start! Court person was scolded for being sneeky and taking his pic with a cellphone. Got caught! lol

  • I loved breakfast at the Fremont when I stayed downtown, great omelets and really nice wait staff! Then onto a machine, ha ha! Great video thanks Rex- soon I will be walking there ahhhhh.

  • They have a wonderful buffet too with only the finest of foods! Very above board! Delicious. Hurry back. A lot of improvements have already been made. Golden Nugget is transforming into a much larger place too!

  • That Was Fun REX

    Thank You

    Marc

  • Thank you too Marc. I glad you like it. It is always good to hear from you.

  • That was soooooo COOL! This video gives you a sense of fun in a "Jailhouse" kind of way!

    They don't miss anything!

  • Came back for a second viewing, nobody makes videos quiet like you Rex, you get some interesting footage and, coupled with fun editing it makes for compelling viewing!:)

  • Oh now. You are making me blush. Don't stop! I think you and I both love the editing part. George Clooney, the actor, once said it all depends on the editing department. It is now in their hands. Anything I do is quite by accident. I am glad you liked the video.

  • The one that knows all is taking care of him. So far! This all started over a photograph of J. Edgar Hoover! A cherished momento of his! He knew it to be stolen! And he wanted it back! Oh well...

  • I just made it look that way with the editing. Actually it was a slow day. When things get cranked up there will be more people than you can count. It will be a media circus with everybody eating hot dogs and snacks. And complaining about the heat.

  • Cool video .

    Rexy

    LOve and Light

    Cheryl

  • Thanks Cheryl. The last clip of the video was to you. Your little stamp. I did not know if you would catch that or not. Now back to the starship Enterprise. Busy lady. Carry on... kEEP those smiles.

  • Must be nice to get a breeze blowing through there in that heat! Do you think OJ's luck has run out this time?:)

  • The breeze never stopped. Very aggravating on the microphone. The water bottle was appreciated though. He needs to walk on this one but I do not know if they will let him. Poetic justice? For real. :)

He will probably win on appeal. Lots of money later.... He will get juiced!

  • Maybe his agent and he will profit from the experience anyway on the chat show curcuit! And it is breeze like that that usually makes me sunburnt!:)

  • I think profits will be made from every single person involved with incident. Maybe the taxpayer included. Business will be booming. I think that may be the way Oscar looked at it. Genius!

  • Back to this video. Great arrest footage.

Those other shots worked well, by just being aimed at regular stuff. Although that pigeon played a good, starring role. Then along come a truck with a siren blaring.

It's amazing what things evolve when a person is ready with a camera and an intention to find something.

    Brilliant Vid, Rex Ruther.

  • I juggled the clips and was surprised at how well it turned out. It looks like editing is an art too! I made sure the pigeon was given full air time to strut! It was the only proper thing to do. :)

  • That's the best and funniest sing selection ever, for a YT video. Too funny!

    ----------

I'd have thought downtown would be packed with news people too. Anyday now it will. Satellite trucks, commentators & crazy sightseers like that one guy who wears a clown-outfit and yells out slogans in the background.

  • I was thinking the place would be packed too! That it was a gimme! Made no difference to me. I started shooting away just for kicks! Busted! That was luck. :)

The song was quite by accident. I listened to it and it fit in really well. Just right, it could not have been better. :)

  • In photography and film making...things usually DO happen by "luck" and "by accident". That's a thing that lots of honest film directors and photogs confess to.

That's the magic behind photography. If a person carries a camera, keeps himself alert and keeps his antennas up-weird things will develop right before his eyes.

True photogs rely on these mysterious, unfolding manifestations. I call it 'The Art of Being There'. Just by 'arriving' someplace the photog sets luck in motion. Really.

  • I totally agree with you. I am always surprised and amazed with the luck factor.

I became friends with a very good film maker and picked this information from her. She spilled out that information without realizing it. I gave her high compliments and she just said it was luck.

But still some people are not interested in such things. They have a different agenda. Each to their own as it should be.
