  • Fender stratocaster ?

  • @thesploder It's a Johnson. A cheap guitar i guess.

  • @miniedgeU2 My first guitar was a Johnson. Yes they are cheap, but great to learn U2 stuff.

  • @miniedgeU2

yeah, i had one too.. sold it. Not a bad guitar though;)

    You are good!;)

  • Hello boy ... You have a guitar backing tracks u2 red hill mining town.

Not found on the Internet. If ok, you pass my e-mail.

    Thanks

    Carlos

  • The 'oh my my' bit of this live version always gives me chills, and still I managed to get chills during your version of this so you must be doing a good job. Keep it up!

  • Hello Mini Edge. I'm beginner guitar. Please, at 1:04 and 3:20 minutes of video which notes you play (tabs), please help me.

    Carlos - Brazil

  • @carlos270364 Hey Carlos! I'm afraid i don't have any tabs, but the song during the verse and chorus is mainly D A and G chords.

Just pay atention to how Edge plays them, changing the fingering position, adding notes, or not playing all the strings, but the important thing is that you first notice the chords Edge is playing, then it's all about experimenting with them.

    Hope this helps!

  • another great performance, always like you guitarplaying , mini edge on the guitar but where was jessica on the drums :)

  • Great cover !

  • Perfect, very good! Would be great if you showed the closest musical notes. Many guitar students assist with this need.

    Congratulations.

    Carlos - Brazil

  • mini edge, you are not mini anymore :)

  • nice cover! i want more, and more your covers:D great job man! ;)

  • You're a phenomenon Albert!!!!!

I think that it is the first video in which I see you "dancing"... :DDDD

    CONGRATSSSSSS!!!

  • brilliant

  • @bogerdje Thank you!

  • sounds good, is that an iem your playing along to?

    - u2rulesmyworld

  • @shoestringconcerts Hmm I don't think it's an iem cause then we would be listening to the click track, the song countdowns and probably not the audience, but i have no idea though, everything's possible. In the video description you have the website where i downloaded it from.

  • great :D

  • Mate...that's very good!!!

    Keep it up!!!

  • @vertigo233 Thank you Ricardo!

  • Awesome job as ever, and the live backing really adds to the completeness of it (though I wonder where you managed to find a track that cut out Edge so completely that even his vocals are missing).

  • @Matkin222 Thanks Matthew!

About the live backing track, in the video description you have the link of the website where i downloaded it from. I have no idea how did they manage to remove The Edge's guitar + vocals from the track. If anyone knows the answer, feel free to share the secret with us.

    Take care!

  • @miniedgeU2 Since it's from Slane I'm guessing they simply removed one of the audio tracks in the 5.1 channel mix of the DVD, which happened to contain Edge's guitar and voice. I could be wrong though.

Another great cover mate! I've gotta thank you for the tips you gave me on playing Ultraviolet quite some time ago. I've gotten a lot better at playing the song and playing the guitar in general, so thanks again. And keep up the good work!

  • @mofous Ohh thanks a lot mofous! Hadn't thought about that, makes sense. It's amazing the things that can be done with a bit of imagination.

Glad the tips helped you, feel free to ask any other doubt you find.

    Take care!
