  • Hell of a smart play by Calmus. Weinke's carrying the football like a loaf of bread and whack! Rocky smashes the ball out of his hand and Roy Williams recovers.

  • Go home Miami. LOL Go gators

  • 10 years later.....

    47 - 17 OU

    boomer!

  • did he say go home miami?? if so hahahahahaha

  • Oklahoma fans thank God everyday that the BCS chose florida state over miami

  • Miami is Alabama's bitch.

  • Really? Cause when they played in the 1989 national championship game miami crushed them.

  • @Eaglesfanmd No we don't. =)

  • an plus florida state was gettin a beat down on the feield as in gettin hit hard

  • jesus, how did these teams end up in the big game. 13-2!!!! Are you kidding me? This must've been the boringest champ game ever

  • lol, chris Weinke was so old too, he played for the Blue Jays minor league team for a couple of years... i think he was 27 as a rookie for Carolina.

  • @bfess

you are fucking who hates real football you are a disgusting fag

  • pretty harsh language, I just prefer offensive football...its more entertaining to me, plus I think it's funny FSU only had points on a safety.

  • it was a defensive game! both teams had great defense.

  • It was a defensive game...and yes it was VERY boring.

I prefer offensive + defensive scoring games over primarily defensive games myself.

  • Its called great defense...

  • well i see what your sayin now , yeah the score , but thats why oklahoma went undeafted that year to ,an won the national championship lol ok

  • lmao how can you be 13-2 when theres only 13 games in a season dumbass , they went undefeated !!

  • @shylo1981

haha, well look who is the dumbass! The score was 13-2, and yes, that is 1 TD 2 FG's and a safety lol. An explosive game for sure...they shouldn't have given the championship to either of these lousy teams.

  • If that's how it worked then no BCS champion would be awarded the title.

  • @bfess so because oklahoma had one of the best defenses EVER in college football in 2000 you are saying its lousy... they took the #1 offense and heisman trophy winner and shut them the fuck up, along with every other team they played that year oklahoma

PS miami was the 3rd choice afrer FSU and WASHINGTON who beat you cheating fuckers at the U ;) so go beat off to your drug dealing sean taylor somewhere else, we play real football here in oklahoma.

  • you want quality players. get players from the big 33 game (ohio vs pennsylvania) has yet to be a superbowl without a starting player from the big 33 game.

  • thx Xtdg89x, i've been hearing about the Big33 game, i'm from Canada, so i don't get all the college or high school scoop, but are u serious about the Super Bowl?

  • for every1 who wants to talk up miami, texas, florida, oklahoma, SHUT THE FUCK UP. texas can barely beat low lives. florida plays a top 25 team and gets embarassed. oklahoma dont even know what a win over a decent team looks like. miami = choke. did i miss something? NCAA D1A needs a playoff system. boise state, tcu, and cincy would embarass all of those teams. Alabama looks like the only SEC team that is decent. But look last year. they got embarassed by Utah. so thats not saying much

  • ya and hawaii really showed up against georgia, you get your flukes every now and then

  • All right kids let's settle down.

  • hey talk to your juvenile friend,he started it.unlike you he has to resort to name calling.

  • I know he did. Just ignore him and I will delete all insults in my precious video's comments.

  • I still say to this day if we would have had Snoop Minis we would have won that ball game.

  • But you had other great receivers who actually went on to be even better in the NFL like Javon Walker and Anquan Boldin. So don't give us that "if only we had Minnis" no no no no no! You had the Heisman winning QB, and he failed to lead FSU to a score. And OU was an 11-point underdog. No excuses!

  • Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to down OU. You guys won fair and square. We had the highest scoring offense in the country going into that game (If I'm right..) and couldn't even score once. I just think snoop could have given us an edge because he had a great Senior season. Sorry if I peeved you off.

  • LOL! You didn't peeve me off dude. It's all good. I like reading everyone's comments. Biased or not, they are rather interesting! :]

  • I guess his 4 pro bowls mean nothing dumbass ! HAHA !! He is not as goo as he used to be, but he WAS great in NFL too once upon a time.

  • Right, since the style of postseason play has any bearing on the merit of one individual player.... Maybe it's because he isn't great in coverage, but is devastating when he can come up and defend the run. He was a pro bowler when Darren Woodson was playing along side him. Also, the increased speed, size, and talent in the NFL may have played a part.

  • haha boomer sooner they will do it again this year in florida

    BOOMER SOONER

  • just like the last time they were there ?

  • Ignoreumdynasty. He just goes from video to video, which don't even involve his team by the way, spouting off at the mouth. He tried to proclaim himself as a "college football expert" until I completely dismantled him on the Husker videos.

  • were about to make it #8

    BOOMER SOONER!!!!!!!!

  • the best college defense probally ever those guys we so fast they probally could have been the offence, i heard rocky calmus and teddy lehman were the two fastest on the team.

  • Florida State moved up and down all day against the miami defense and really should have won that game. Florida State got nothing going all day against the sooners. Miami was pretty overrated that year by people who think they shoul dhave been in the orange bowl.

  • few teams beat miami in the national championship game in MIAMI/ORANGE BOWL. Sooners got a break. Let's face it, Oklahoma scored 16 points in the Nat. Champ Game vs FSU. Very weak.

  • They scored 13 jack. If you want to play that card, lets not forget that FSU was completly shut out by OU while they easily moved up and down the field against miami and really should have won that game as well. How would you explain Miami Losing to washington? Miami also had a few close calls in the other regular season games while FSU was generally very dominating in theirs. The BCS has been a great alternative to the polls and they sure got it right by putting FSU in there.

  • what a fuckin choad..

  • First off, it was 13-2 dumb dick. Second, how many points did FSU put up against Miami that year? 24. Obviously OU's defense was much better than Miami's as well as Florida States which means they would have held Miami to far fewer points. You a fucking dumb ass piece of shit mark ass nigga

  • please!

Miami would have bitch slapped the Sooners from one end of the field to the other.thank your lucky stars that the BCS nerds screwed them over that year.

  • except you morons couldnt even beat washington, and should have lost to florida state anyway. Miami was the most overrated team of 2000 by far.

  • Dude, you Sooner fans are so ignorant.Miami was clearly the best team that year.sure they lost to Washington, but so what.after that loss, they pretty much dominated the rest of the season.check out the spanking they gave Florida in the Sugar Bowl that year.

WTF do you mean they should have lost to Florida State?

OU was a joke of a champion.you guys had no shot of beating the Canes.you should still be blowing the jerkoffs in charge of the BCS rankings!

  • Lol, you guys almost lost to BC that year. You have no idea what your talking about.

  • Do your homework before you open your mouth genius!

    2000 Miami 52 BC 6

it was 2001 that they suffered a scare against BC.

  • lol, oops, oh well, i think still you should stop being a baby about what happened 9 years ago.

  • I'm not being a baby,i'm just telling you what would have happened.OU deserved that title, they just played the wrong team.

  • HAH really we go undefeated and were a "joke of a champion"

fuck swagga "Tha U" has a bunch of crack heads if they believe that steaming pile of horse shit

  • Yea your program is so clean right?bunch of steroid enhanced shit for brain hacks that couldn't make it in the NFL.does Bosworth ring a bell?

That steaming pile of shit you call Tha U owns your sorry asses.they did in the 80's and they do now.Texas is gonna mop the floor with you losers.

  • way to bring up something from 20+ years ago

face it OU makes minse meat of UM in terms of prestige but players getting shot The U has enough for the entire fuckin country

  • 20+ years ago?check your schedule buddy,we beat you 4 days ago.all time series wins:Miami 4 OU 3

7 titles to 5(should have been 6) - not that much more prestige so don't flatter yourself.

Your over exaggerating when it comes to shootings.that was one person buddy.i don't know where your getting your info from.Enjoy the red river beatdown your gonna suffer in a couple of weeks.

  • Thanks in part to our Heisman QB (who torched you for 5 TDs 2 years ago in a 38-point beating) being out with an injury along with our All-American tight end who is out for the year. The who really lucked out this time.

  • Dude i don't wanna hear the injury excuses because Miami was missing a bunch of starters on defense and they still stopped your asses.there were plenty of you OU fans talking smack on how you were gonna kick Miami ass on Saturday with Landry Jones so don't bother back pedaling now.

It wasn't Landry Jones that lost the game,it was your offensive line and your defense which couldn't make stop in crucial moments.

  • And it was in large part because our Heisman QB, future NFL tight end, and our leading receiver this year (who broke his shoulder blade on our first drive of the game) were out with injuries. If you had played an OU team at full strength, it would have been a repeat of 07. Honest question m2diggs, would the canes have beaten OU if Jacory Harris was out?

  • Both teams had the injury bug.Landry Jones didn't lose the game.he threw 6 TD passes the week before.OU defense couldn't make stops when they needed to.OU was favored to win despite Bradford being out.

Would Miami have been favored if Jacory was out?of course not!

  • I never said anything about being favored. Point spreads don't mean shit. My point goes to show you how important quarterback is in college football. Oh please! Landry ain't even half the player that Sam Bradford is. Sam has a Heisman, enough said.

  • I'm telling you the facts man.the experts picked OU to win the game.don't sit here and tell me you didn't feel the same way.tell me exactly what Bradford would have done differently?Landry didn't throw any int's.his fumble came after he was blind sided.dude Miami had a bunch of starters out on defense.the team is mostly full of Freshman and Sophomores and still managed to beat an experienced OU team.

    Except defeat and move on.

  • I have accepted it. But just realize that you didn't really beat anyone. OU was massively depleted, yet they only lost by one point. Miami was NOT depleted two years ago, yet they lost by 38.

  • Miami has beaten 3 top 25 teams.nobody expected that from them.say what you want about FSU,but they were ranked 18th in the country before that game.

Don't compare the 2007 team to this years team.you no nothing about that team.that team was horrible.that was Randy Shannons first year with Cokers players who were garbage.they didn't even make it to a bowl game and lost the last game in the Orange Bowl 48-0 to Virginia.

Randy has had to rebuild this program up from the bottom up.

  • By the way,who has OU beaten this year?anyone in the top 25?hell anyone in the top 50?talk smack when you beat a ranked opponent.

  • Hey guess what!!! Sam threw for almost 400 yards today. Thank God Miami didn't have to play against him you're probably thinking now huh? And talk smack when you have as many national titles as OU. We have seven. ;)

  • lol,wow 400 yards against Baylor.like thats never been accomplished.he wouldn't have made a difference so get over it.we invented smack talk so i can talk as much of it as i want.

Say your prayers before the Texas game and hope god listens!!!

  • Yes 400 yards against Baylor, but he had no one to throw to. Our NFL tight end, who said no to Miami during his recruitment, is out for the year with a torn knee. Ryan Broyles our leading WR, who broke his shoulder blade on our first drive against you guys, is out for several weeks. And may I remind you of how Sam threw for 5 TDs the last time he played Miami? You had an NFL safety Kenny Phillips in your secondary, and a freshman lit him up.

  • Dude a one armed man could throw for 400 yards against Baylor.your arguments are just sad.2007 is 2007.this is 2009 and you guys lost lol!

  • where do you get the (should have been 6) from????

    the OSU game hahah......No

and I'm not over exaggerating OU hasn't had any player get shot and killed so I was right.

BTW enjoy playin and gettin "respect" in the ACC

also National Championships isn't all what prestige is about, it's Heismans and Conference Championships which we have 5 and 42 respectivly.

OU has been RELEVANT since the 40's

    "THA U"? since the 80's

So please stop trying to say UM is close to OU's level

  • Yea we've been relevant since the 80's and we have almost as many titles as you guys.wanna talk about prestige, look at all the great players that have come out of UM to become great in the NFL.we got the prestige now buddy.

    OU's Level?please!

  • really I bet my house that if you ask a SMART college football fan what program is more prestigous, or has better history, or constantly good.. the answer would be OU and not UM.

So like I said before...Get on OU's level please before you talk shit.

If you seriously think Miami is more prestigous then OU then I feel sorry for you my man

  • Sorry for me?who lost to who last Saturday?your team is a shell of what it use to be which wasn't that much.hey how have you done the last 4-5 BCS bowl games?

Texas is gonna beat the living hell out of your team.buckle up because it's gonna be a bumpy ride.

  • yea except we went to the BCS National Championship Game last year right?

If thats OU being a "shell of what it use to be" then I love it!

    and do you forget 52-13..?

I'm just saying you have no room to talk Miami has done nothing since '03 at best and really you have too be a mindless baby to be impressed with UT...oh wait your a scUM fan

there D sucks more then Paris Hilton and Colt looks like Jake Delhomme throwin these picks, once we get Bradford and Broyles back we can beat UT.. will we idk

  • Did you win?no!

wanna delve into the past?who has won a title more recently?tick tock tick tock....Miami.

If you can't stop Miami's offense, what the hell makes you think you can stop theirs?your D is much better.if their Paris Hilton than your Kim Kardashian.good luck!your gonna need it.

  • hmmmm would I rather be in 3 NCG games and lose or be in a bowl no one cares about and win...?

I'll go with the NCG appearance...

and lets see..in 4 games OU has given up 35 points, with 2 shutouts (yes against an FCS) but Tulsa has one of the best O's in the NCAA every year so yea we are no KK

  • I'd rather be in no bowls games then get my ass handed to me by LSU,USC,BSU and UF.face it,after 2001,you guys don't win the big game.Miami is 3-1 in BCS bowl games.

Dude seriously, your embarrassing yourself.tell me when was the last time Tulsa was in the top 25 if ever?conference USA isn't exactly a premiere conference.you won't get any 1st place votes from beating Tulsa.

  • "I'd rather be in no bowls games" is why your stupid the more NCG your in the more recruits want to go to your school win or lose, so yea your logic shows everyone how bad a UM education is...and when did we get our asses handed to us besides the USC game????

    the

  • Logic tells me you suck in bowl games.LSU beat you down,USC made you their bitch, you needed to come back from 2 touchdowns to take Boise into overtime only to lose on a play that would have only worked against your sorry asses and Florida didn't need to put much of an effort to beat you guys.

Your knocking my education?i'm not the imbecile arguing that beating Tulsa was a good win because they have a great Offense. If Duke was playing in Conference USA,they would have a great offense too.

  • So you'd rather go 5-7 than play for it all on a national stage? XD

  • don't know.if my team kept losing bcs game after bcs game,i probably might jump off a bridge.i still haven't recovered from the Ohio State game.

  • Ah, another fair weather fan. But then again what Cane isn't? Seems as though whenever your team sucks you all fail to show up to the game. Gotta learn to support your team even through the darkest of times. I was there when USC beat us by 40 in the Orange Bowl five years ago. Worst part was I sat on the USC side. That one hurt bad, but I still remain a proud supporter of the crimson and cream. And guess what...I'm still alive! LOL! Some ppl gotta learn to loosen up. It is just a game.

  • If your referring to me than your way off.I have been a die hard since the probation days.btw, lets keep the fans out of this discussion shall we?this is about the teams.

  • Ok, well I assumed you were after you said that you'd rather be in no bowl games than get embarrassed on the big stage. I wish Colin Cowterd would stop degrading fans on his show and on Sportsnation. He's the one who encourages fan stereotyping.

  • what did he say?

  • Today on SN they were talking about AD's impressive run over that Steeler and Colin said he wasn't an Adrian Peterson guy because he hates OU fans. What an assclown! He should keep his mouth on the jockstraps of USC and Texas.

  • lol, thats a stupid thing to say on tv.USC is so freaking overrated.they haven't beaten anybody.Texas as well shouldn't be ranked so high.this season is a freaking joke.Boise State and Cincinnati in the top 5 of the BCS standings?and Florida doesn't have the balls to schedule tough OOC opponents.I always said that the Big 12 is a lot tougher conference than the SEC.

  • He's also the same guy that said Sean Taylor's death was brought upon by himself a couple years ago. This guy just needs to pay attention to facts before his rants. I hope ESPN cans his ass soon after he make another inappropriate comment. So far, he's gotten away with shutting down a sports blog for a few days, taking credit for a joke from a Michigan fan blog, and telling a Kansas City Royals fan to shoot himself. Look up "Colin Cowherd" on YouTube. You'll find that "shoot yourself".

  • Btw, good luck to Miami the rest of the way. Yeah I agree, this season sucks like 05 and in your case 07 did. But hopefully OU and Miami will meet again in the near future, with both teams healthy of course. At least we can schedule real OOC teams unlike Texas. Good God!

  • man colin cowherd is the biggest joke of a commentator in the nation, hes a USC booster and there is so many bandwagon texas fans they would have his job taken for saying anything but praise for them.

  • Adrian Peterson alone is enough give OU high NFL prestige. Is that guy even human? My goodness! Talk smack when one of your players gets featured on the next ESPN Magazine Body Issue. AD is ripped! Btw, OU has had more players drafted in the NFL all-time than Miami. You have more first-rounders, but that doesn't necessarily translate to how you've done all-time in college compared to us. UVA for example, they produce a lot of NFL first-rounders, but are they really that good of a program?

  • Adrian Peterson.thats all you got.what other sooner in the NFL has made a big impact?

    Let me list my guy:Ray Lewis,Ed Reed,Willis Mcgahee,Frank Gore,Clinton Portis,Jeremy Shockey,Jonathan Vilma...all have made the Pro Bowl.

The list goes on and on.ESPN the Magazine?who gives a flying fuck?!

  • Yeah, and the funny thing is none of those guys you mentioned even compare to AD's athletic ability. XD

  • Ray Lewis is easily in the top 5 all time at his position.Peterson on the other hand...i can list 10-15 other backs that are better than him.

  • Oh really? Like who? And do any of them hold the single-game rushing record? Ray Lewis is a beast, but I have some questions about his involvement in a murder incident several years ago. Good thing you don't see any Sooners in any run-ins with the law.

  • oh yea because every player to come out of OU is a Saint right?stick to football buddy.just for your information,Ray Lewis was acquitted of those charges...Bosworth on the other is a steroid freak who couldn't hack it in the pros.say what you want about Lewis,he still 100x better player than Bosworth ever was.

  • Ok first of all. The Boz was way before my time. Secondly, OU fans don't really claim him anyway because he was an asshole not only to opponents but also to his own teammates.

  • Btw, AD absolutely OWNED your boy Ed Reed and the Ravens last week. 143 yards against that "great" Raven D. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yea just like he owned the Steelers this week.68 yrds rushing, impressive.

  • May I remind you of how AD faked Reed out of his shoes on a 58 yard gallop in the 4th qtr with 8:27 left to go? Go look at the Vikings/Ravens highlights on nfl. com and you'll see what the Purple Jesus is all about.

  • whats your point?Ed Reed sucks because he got faked out?Does Peterson suck because he only rushed for 68 yards against Pittsburgh?

  • No I never said Reed sucks. I'm saying that the best Sooner in the NFL owned the best Cane in the NFL ON THE FIELD!!! 33-31 Vikings! :P

  • well it's bound to happen.you can't dominate on every play.

  • Oh come on! No one can run on the Steelers D. Especially at Heinz Field. But at least AD had a signature moment when he bowled over a Steeler corner for one of his many highlight runs this season.

  • don't start with the excuses now.that was a great run btw.

  • What's Frank Gore doing this season? Or Willis? or Portis? Please dude, your a fucking joke! Just keep your mouth shut before you give us more fodder to burn you with..XD

  • Adrian Peterson(enough to make up for that entire trash of a crew you just named) Jammal Brown, Phil Loadholt, Mark Clayton, Roy Williams, Tommie Harris, Brodney Pool, Malcolm Kelly, Mark Bradley, Brandon Jones, Marcus Walker, Jimmy Wilkerson, Clint Ingram, Curtis Lofton..All made a big impact in the NFL. So what's your point? You lost to Clemson at home that you couldn't put away!? I think losing by one is better than losing by 38 like the ass whoppin we gave yall in 07. What a fucking choad!!

  • lol,I laugh at those player.nowhere near the caliber of the guys i just named.yes we did lose to Clemson, but we still have a better record than your beloved Sooners do.whether it's by 1 or 38,a loss is a loss.enjoy your 2007 victory.this is 2009 and we still beat you! LMFAO

  • Yeah I agree you should have six, thanks in part to a phantom pass interference call. But it's still LESS than 7.

  • It would be 1 less than 7,but oh well.i'm glad you and I are in agreement on one thing.

seems like OSU fans are the only ones that think that was the right call!

  • Oh God. You don't really think "All Day" Adrian Peterson is "steroid enhanced" do you? Btw, 21-20 is not necessarily owning. But 51-13 is. :P

  • I said Bosworth not Peterson.btw,7 of those 20 points wouldn't have happened if not for the BS roughing the kicker call.

How you love to dwell on the past. While were on the subject, why don't you also bring up those 3 consecutive loses you suffered at the hands of Miami in the 80's.That's owning!

  • I wasn't even born yet during that time, so in my lifetime, OU is 1-1, but still has a 37-point edge. XD

  • Well I was so were 4-1 in that span and 4-3 all time against OU...so we have the edge.

  • At least OU has the higher point total in our series.

  • let me see if I understand your logic...if Miami wins 9 out of the next 10 games against OU,you'll be satisfied as long as OU has more points in those 10 games?ooooooooook!

You really didn't think that comment through did you?

  • Nice win over Clemson yesterday. Miami looks REAL impressive! XD

  • we've been more impressive than you guys have been and unlike you guys,Canes fan don't make excuses after a loss.we lost the game...case closed.

  • No we have REASONS...not EXCUSES. Big difference there. We lost (granted it was only by one) because Bradford and Gresham were out and our leading receiver Ryan Broyles went down with a broken shoulder injury on the first drive, which we easily drove down the field and scored a 20 yard touchdown. As evidenced, Miami is a fraud. A FRAUD! HAHAHA! Clemson? Of all the teams in the lowly ACC? You have got to be kidding me! XD

You should be thankful OU was massively depleted on offense.

  • No all you have is bullshit.

What?!You think Miami doesn't have injury problems as well?sure i could toss that excuse, but unlike you,i have the common sense to realize that every other team..pro or college, has their fair share of injuries.

yea well these frauds own your ass.we have won 4 of the last 5 against OU.stop crying and making excuses because we don't.

you should be thankful the refs helped make that game alot closer than it actually was.move the fuck on already!

  • LOL! You're telling me to move the fuck on? This is MY video pal! I can post whatever shit I want! And since you're still here commenting, I'm going to keep telling you what you are going to hear! Fact is Miami is overrated and you will never be the same program you were 5-20 years ago again since Urban Meyer and the Gators own your state now. Yeah you beat OU but this was the year we were supposed to return to the promised land with our 4 NFL guys back and now 2 of them are done for the year.

  • Fine stay in denial,I don't care.btw, your team is just as overrated as mine.sure you have played for National Championship...most of the time have failed to show up(USC,LSU,Florida all owned you!!!).stop bitching about the injuries because everyone has them and focus on the next game like I have with my team.

  • Haha! I am not discrediting Miami for their win. They won fair and square. But keep in mind it was not as great a win as you make it out to be. You beat an OU team that even BYU beat by only one point in large part because of the absence of two guys who will go in round one in the 10 NFL Draft. Yee-ayy! Also, at least OU doesn't lose to "powerhouses" like Clemson, UNC, Georgia Tech or UVA (when healthy). Nope, OU loses to teams like Texas, Florida, USC and LSU. You know...REAL teams.

  • lol, thats you you've been doing is discrediting Miami."Miami beat a depleted Sonners team"BLAH BLAH BLAH

and I didn't realize BYU was in the same boat with Florida,LSU and USC.lol please!

I'm not denying Miami has sucked since they joined they ACC,but it's only a matter before they turn things around.people left them for dead after they went on probation in 95.they bounced back a couple of years later and won a title.with the star players located in the Miami area, they be back to dominate!

  • Slow down there cowboy! You don't even have Butch Davis roaming your sidelines anymore. We have to wait and see if Randy Shannon actually is the guy. I respect him for cleaning up your program's reputation, but he has to win the ACC conference on a consistent basis. Florida State and Miami clearly aren't even the same programs they once were, and Florida dominates your state in recruiting right now.

  • OU on the other hand has to travel to Texas,Florida and California to recruit talent because the state of Oklahoma has none!

  • Our state has no talent? Hmm ok. Then I guess Jeremy Shockey has no talent either.

  • well he's one exception.

  • @spgarrett

He was from Oklahoma wasn't he!! XD

    Ada, Oklahoma I believe....

  • lol one guy to come out of the state of Oklahoma compared to thousands that come out Florida.what an accomplishment.they should change their name to the Texas Sooners because thats were most of your recruits come from.

    later loser!

  • There's also Jammal Brown who is an All-Pro left tackle for the Saints. Sadly, he's on IR this year. Curtis Lofton, a stud LB for Atlanta. And next year we will put in Gerald McCoy, Gresham and Bradford. And Blake Griffin, (not a football player) who was drafted #1 overall in this past year's NBA Draft. We may not produce as many pro athletes as the state of Florida, but we do produce a respectable amount of good ones.

  • I never said they didn't.OU has great athletes.

  • jeremy shockey. LMAO washed up piece of shit player

  • Oklahoma did not want a piece of Miami that year in our own backyard. Florida State has never been better than Miami. When they had an opportunity to play in the big game, they did not step up.

  • Oklahoma won 13-2

  • that

    gave

    me

    chills

  • no one cares dude get a fucking life

  • all you FSU fans want to believe that FSU is "rebuilding". lol, after this play they STILL havent recovered and i doubt that they ever will

  • i dont think that. it's not going to take 15 years though like it did for ou

  • like bob stoops said after this game "that was then, this is now, thats oklahoma football!!"

i cant wait till 2010 so OU can shut your b*tch *ss mouth. (again)

  • wow you're such a badass. did bob say that after the fiesta bowl ?

  • at least oklahoma goes to bowls every year

you cant say the same for fsu, can you?

  • uh ya. wow great comeback

  • ok man whatever, this is childish as h*ll

    this was 8 years ago

  • Well, its been 8. Your alraedy halfway there.

  • @ papabowden and all other fsu fans reading this

  • oh wow dude you're a real badass

  • who went on to win this game and wat was the score?

  • The BCS is so lucky that Oklahoma won this game. I mean, Florida State never should have been in it. Miami, Oregon State, Virginia Tech, and Washington were all more legitimate then FSU was.

  • But none of em would have gotten past that OU defense on this night!

  • I totally agree. Oklahoma would have beaten Miami, VT, Oregeon state, and Washington. I 'm just saying that if Okalhoma had versed one of those 4 teams, it wouldn't ahve mattered who won the Orange Bowl. Either way, the BCS would ahve produced an undisputed NC. But with an FSU-Oklahoma game, the Sooners HAD to win this game to avoid a split NC. Luckily, oklahoma won.

  • No they weren't

    Typical Miami cry baby. Thug.

  • Uh, I'm not a Miami fan. I'm a Michigan fan. I'm just saying from my perspective, FSU had no business being in the NC game against Oklahoma

  • my bad...

Anyway, if Richt didnt leave for UGA...FSU wins.

They also lost their star player Snoop. So....bad luck.

Seminoles had the #1 ranked offense that year. Richt fvcked em over in the end. They could put up more than 0 fvcking pts...

  • damn it, this should've been a shutout!

  • Quentin Griffin will be playing here in Saskatchewan for the Roughriders of the Canadian football league, can't wait to watch him.

  • Oklahoma would ahve beaten Miami this season. As good as Moss, Wayne, and Johnson were in 200, they would have been smoked by Roy Williams, Rocky Calmus, and all those great players on Oklahomas defense.

  • I don't think so!!! Past meetings says otherwise.

  • Like what? 51-13 Oklahoma?

  • Gotta tell you, umdynasty pokes a whole in your original post. 51-13 is hard to argue with.

  • Boy, I know ALOT of Sooner fans that wish we could be in the same position, at the end of the year, as we were in this game. As a Sooner fan, it pains me to see us lose bowl game after bowl game. It makes every year we lose worse of a loss. We need to get the fire back that we had in 2001. And keep these college kids playing from getting a big head.

  • Weinke was 45 years old during this game.

  • he turned 46 after OU was done with him

  • lol silly seminoles

  • FSU will be back !!! Jeff Bowden is gone !!!

  • Bobby should be as well

  • Thanks for preparing such a great offensive strategy before your move to Georgia, Mark Richt.

  • True, the ACC has not fared well against Oklahoma (besides Miami at least), but there's no reason to be an idiot about it truesoonerfan.

Boise? That was a senior laden Boise team and probably it's best team ever. Oklahoma was very talented but not very experienced. The growing pains of 05 and 06 will reap big benefits for 07 and 08.

  • shut your fucking mouth you fucking bandwagon. we own miami this upcoming year and boise was just a fluke.

  • Maybe it was a fluke you even had a chance at the end; Boise was kicking the shit out of Oklahoma at one point 28-10

  • Miami? I think that was like OU 51 Miami 13,

  • The sooners don't want a piece of the U. Miami has owned Oklahoma. The only program to stand up to and dismantle running & option style teams like Notre Dame,Oklahoma,Nebraska.

  • Shut the fuck up you gay and ignorant acc fans and bandwagons. We own the acc for example FSU in the title game and last UNC in 2001

  • VT is going to own FSU on november 10 prepare yourself semon holes

  • vt loss to fsu eery time

  • Listen to Ontei Jones after Quentin Griffin scores....Go home!, Go home Miami, Go home Miami! That's classic, Miami didn't want none, but they'll get what they deserve on Sep.8 in Norman, count on it.
