I'm a windows type of guy. I use to have an iphone and it sucked. I was unable to do certain simple things with it, I heard that ipad was the same way too. I'm with windows all the way. Does anyone know if this type of program is for windows too?

Actually i just wanted to show people where it was, in the application folder, if I wanted to open it quickly, I'd press CMD+Space and then type the first few letters of the application...

its a standard screen saver on a mac, the RSS Visualizer, I set it to MacRumors' RSS feed.

There we go a comment I can agree with, u didn't bash any of the 2 major OSs, its true without either of them we wouldn't be where we are today in technology.

However to each their own, I used to use Windows & when I bought my Mac I got Vista to go with it, but I haven't logged into that partition in like 2 months.

For my needs Mac OS X suits me better, I don't do much gaming anymore, if I do Crossovers is fine (don't need to boot into Vista) and programs like Adobe work much better on a Mac.

Not really, on a pc it would but on my Mac its totally un-noticeable unless your doing some 3d rendering in Maya or something. (I have 4 gigs of RAM Though)

I donno lol, I've never used while outside the house b/c i like to use the RSS feed screensaver and you need a internet connection which you don't always have(for the RSS), I've always had it plugged in. I should test that tho and get back to you.

Well, I know movies, games, and video in general kills it pretty quick and it's basically the exact same thing (I could be wrong though)

I use video wallpaper on my iPhone and I think it takes it down fast.

I tested it and it reduced my battery life by 30 mins, not bad. I get up to 5 hours max, but with regular usage around 3.5 .

So I still get 3 hours.

So what... I was just showing ppl if they want to do this on their own comp. if they had a mac they can use this program.

And PCs don't utilize their RAM as efficient as Macs (especially vista) so you have less memory floating around to do this. But this counter's the lack of software you can run on Macs OS natively

So Mac and Pc have their own advantages. I like Macs b/c I can run OS X leopard, Windows, and linux if i feel like it, meaning if i don't mind restarting my computer I have total freedom in software.

I usually set my screensaver to the RSS visualizer so it gives me information as i'm working instead of going to the website i just look at my desktop. So i don't really find it distracting.
