  • This is the 1980's version- Glee just adopted it!

  • @beanielandschool

It's not part of THIS song. Glee made that part up!

  • 9 people don't feel pretty

  • what happend to the part that said "I wish i could tie you up in my shoes and make you feel unpretty too"?

  • @beanielandschool that's not part of the actual song. Glee made a medley of TLC's Unpretty and this amazing song.

  • @dftbachick1929 yes it is part of this song!

  • hahahaha! my music teacher had us watch this movie!

  • Its the best video in yt! i sung it at school. but i'm not so pretty like "maria" :D

  • Thanks for lyrics. Our theatre group played the WEST SIDE STORY. It was a real succ ess for our high school. Our singer Marie Brandt was excelent. Her voice isoverly nice and we all had goosebumps!!! once again: thx for lyrics.

  • i like it

  • Hey everyone! :) My name's Grace, I'm 11 years old, and I did a cover of this song on my channel. Please watch, comment, and subscribe to hear more covers done by me. Thank you so much. <3

  • thanks for this- i need 2 learn this song so it helped :)

  • where did you get a copy of this song? my sisters 18th bday is west side story and we're dancing to it and i cant find one thats instrumental

  • i know it to be pretty and witty and bright. and even if it was gay you people need to stop making a mountain out of a molehill it still mean bleddy happy damnit

  • i love this song i even learned it in school i even know the who song my mom knew marias mom in real life! LOL just kiddin.

  • i don't think that it matters whether it says bright or gay! i just know that i feel more comfortable saying bright. i KNOW gay in this case means "happy" but still, this was written like 50 years ago and it obviously didn't mean homosexual back then. bright works better for modern times!

  • I feel pretty

    Oh so pretty

    I feel pretty

    and witty

    and GAY!

  • WTF bright? She says bright nowhere, she says f*k*ng GAY! What problem do people have with such an innocent word? GAY GAY GAY GAY I f*ck*ng feel GAY too, though I'm not gay.

But being gay is better than being bright. Let's be gay averybody!

  • @45Akira The gay/today lyrics were only for the movie. These are the correct original lyrics. They were changed because the scene was for day in the movie. Just one more thing that hollywood took the honor of changing. It has nothing to do with being pc.

  • awsome

  • Actually, it was origanlly written as bright/tonight, but the director wanted the scene in the movie to take place during the day, so they rewrote the lyrics to gay/today. Never knew that, did you?

  • @WestSideStory4ever yup im doing this song for my next grade of singing and its written as bright/tonight, so thats how i always sing it :)

  • @WestSideStory4ever

Nice! love little info like that about my favorite movies!

  • @WestSideStory4ever people want the one from the movie so dont be a snob plus the timing was off

  • @WestSideStory4ever I did know that, but I like still the gay/today version better, much more fun to sing.

  • @WestSideStory4ever i know tht coz i sing this for my singing lesons its so fun

  • not the right lyrics

  • These are the right lyrics for the film,.trust me I've done it a thousand times. The diff in the film is she says gay/today instead of bright/tonight. Unless you mean that it doesn't have the new Spanish lyrics?

  • Yea I know but those little differences ("gay/today instead of bright/tonight") Make's it not the right lyrics. If the even missed one word It is counted as not the right lyrics. But I was just saying because some people may not know

  • No they are the correct lyrics; gay/toady and bright/tonight are both correct, they're interchangeable, it doesn't make a difference when they're out of the context of the play/film.

  • @XGothEmoGalX The gay/today lyrics were only for the movie. these are the correct original lyrics as written for the show. It is just one more thing hollywood took the honor of changing.

  • @Aubreykproflil1s oh realy? i did not know that thanks

  • I meant to do 5 stars, my bad *_*

  • I luv this song so much!! My best friend sang it at our choir concert.

  • this is the best lyrics yet

  • I love these instrumental versions! I am looking for music for a gymnastics routine...how can I get this and your instrumental of America and office k to do a mix?

  • thanks a lot, i love it!

  • Actually, those are the correct lyrics. The movie altered the location of the piece from at night to in the daytime, hence the "bright/tonight" line was changed to "gay/day".

  • did u alter the lyrics

  • I didn't do anything to the lyrics. They might be incorrect, but I wasn't the one who made the .CDG file...

  • @love2bsweet no this is the broadway version. (original)
