This guy is shy to the extreme. I wonder if he is autistic or something. It is through the music he communicates when in public, and nothing else. He is there to play. Also, I can tell most of the band knows that the frontman is Thom and they don't want to interfere with that. I am sure Jonny feels he has to leave the center of the stage to Thom.
el sonidito fino de paranoid android, escucharlo en vivo es lo máximo,a jonny se le ocurren cosas que nadie iría por esa manera de hacer música.yo voy a seguir sus pasos,
You know how people say that great guitarists are ONE with their guitar??? Not our Johny,he looks like he is fighting his guitar and guitar is fighting back...somehow you have pure magic as outcome and that is why he is unique and one of the best guitarists ever!!!
man what a beautiful compilation of jonny¡¡¡¡ is fucking great, i love the part in bones, when it says jonny rocks, just amazing... please man whats the song at 4:54 when hi is pulling the string, after the fragment of exit music live...
i disagree with the opening statement, although he plays many instruments and hes jacks of them i believe hes a true master of guitar, and its his main talent
Jonny sets the bar pretty damn high as far as musicianship goes. He's one of my favorite guitarists of al time. There is no one like him. He's fooking great!!!
Oddly enough my favorite part of this video was not one of his epic guitar abuse solos (which are amazing!!!) But him with the drum playing one of the Hail to the Thief tracks (There There?) It just struck me as really cool. He's got talent in such a wide number of instruments. He's not just a guitar god. He's a music god.
Is it true fahoo23 that Jonny Greenwood wore that same yellow t-shirt in the studio while recording the violin track for Britney Spears' "Toxic". If so then that shirt is probably famous or something.
I've just ordered that classic yellow t-shirt used by him on the past years, the one with the black head with waves coming out of it, gonna use it on Argentina concert on next March 23 :)
a kaospad 2...he triggers thoms voice through it to put effects on its voice...as delay or reverse...is a very fine piece of equipment mostly used by djs
Jonny is FUCKING AMAZING ! I think nothing can surpass him he has so much talent and on top of that nothing can distract him when he's playing... We need more people like that in our world !
I've seen them live twice, spent ages watching him even though he was on the other side of the stage to where I was at both gigs. He is truely one of a kind.
i love that performance of there there on later....it is unquestionably awesome!!!thanks noiserman for assembling this-its much appreciated!!!JONNY ROCKS
the thing is...every album is different...and there are guys that listen one song from one album, or two, three from another album, and they say that Radiohead is not that good...its becouse almost every band theyve listened has same songs, and they wouldnt try to go and listen everything Rh has mad adn then talk who is who
wow.. thats horrible that you dont know.. id forgive you if ur a newb at radiohead.. its called there there and its off their 2nd last album called "hail to the theif".. its pretty sick.. that is one of their best songs in my oponion.
He would say it's not about him but the band and he's right. He's a brilliant musician and you should listen to the classical works he's written for The BBC Concert Orchestra. All of the band members bring out the very best in each other which is why they are outstanding. The chemistry in the writing and playing is remarkable and the balance between the band perfect.
greenwood and york are about the best combo in music history, but people forget just how amazing the other three members/parts are as well. i mean, would any other band play the drums like phil on paranoid android? could anybody but ed have created the atmospheric end to karma poice, giving it a completely new element? is the subtle bass ending in morning bell not utter brilliance?
don't understand why people always are yelling around about musicians. you don't adore other people who do their work good. i love jonny greenwood, but why isn't there a tribute to colin greenwood? or philipp selway?
hey guys, i know jonny is good and all ( if not totally amazing ) and i do love radiohead, dont get me wrong on it, but the number of instruments you play doesnt reflect your talent. at a certain point, when you understand music, you can pretty much play any instruments like harmonica which is rather simpler. you just need the basics of piano to know how to play the xylophone (or am i wrong on this one?)
yeah you're pretty right there, it's just getting the knack of that instrument, the musical teory pretty uch stays the same, its just the way you physically lay the notes (pressing strings or playing keys etc) that changed, and yeah jonny greenwood is amazing :P
it's not his ability to play a large number of instuments or the fact that he can play many instruments (which many people can do), it's HOW he plays them
how can u say hes the jack of all trades but the master of none!
hes a master of guitar, and hes a guitarist! :p
hes ranked as like the 59/60th best guitarist of all time by rolling stone...
Sjady 1 year ago 4
@Sjady It's a joke from an interview: Jonny Greenwood: "Jack of all trades, master of none my mother tells me!" Of course, he's the master of all.
