  • fantastic snow explorer!!! We got 3 samoyeds here in Russia. They are fantastic!

  • Its a baby polar bear lol!

  • how long can he be out there

  • @theoldrepublicjedi99 Samoyeds are a nordic breed, so he can probably be in the snow as long as he wants. What you need to worry about is how long your Samoyed is outside in hot weather. They're more susceptible to heat exhaustion than shorter haired breeds because of all the fur they have, but it's also not good to shave them down to the skin because their skin is very sensitive and they can burn easily.

  • @cowgba So true! I live in Australia and I have a samoyed. During the summer we shave him but we don't go all the way down to his skin. We also keep him indoors as much as we can because he gets so warm.

  • @Pokepower123 Actually you shouldn't do anything to their hair except brushing, shaving them or cutting their hair make them more vunerable to heat, their coat protetcs them from cold as well as from heat.

  • @nikoliciv I have shaved my samoyed for nearly 10 years now. His skin is perfectly fine and he doesn't get as hot as you'd think. I know that their coat protects them from both the cold and the heat, my family has owned samoyeds all our life. We have shaved every samoyed we have owned and not one of them has had a problem with their skin. There is no worry and it is better that we do it because of where we live. We don't get snow here and it is very warm in the summer.

  • @Pokepower123 i dunno if its true but, ive heard shaving a dogs hair is like stripping clothes off of a person in public.. at least if u shave it all down..

  • @1edefs3 Shaving it all down is NOT a good idea. That is what exposes their skin to sun. Shaving their fur is okay, as long as you leave enough to still protect their skin.

  • I love this, I have a sammy and she does the same thing in the snow. so cute :)

  • ahaha, where's the dog? =D so cute

  • Samoyeds are snow dogs

  • @adirm18 Nobody new that wow how did you figure out.

  • oh I wish my pups could play and run in all that snow!!!
