I reckon it's a moth or some other bug on the lens flapping it's wings. And because the camera is set to focus on an image further away, very close up objects seem blurred. This happens quite a lot. I used to work in security and I've seen very similar objects on the lens, and on closer inspection, it's a spider or moth on the lens.
very small insects appear strange in front of security cameras especially night vision cameras. I see it all the time, and it actually will trip motion detection if it is sensitive enough.
not a ghost..somebody is filming that behind a transparent glass therefore it is the peoples reflection who were walking behind or doing something else....
This is a security camera mounted high up on a wall, there is no glass in front of it. There were no people around when this was shot in the middle of the night. It is also set to go off only when it detects motion.
@blackdiesel77 haha that was a stupid explination XD.... you don't put a security cam behind glasses because of your explination.... they dont want fake vids
:O thats a kewl angle...thats proof that we do have living deads with us...youtube also has proof that aliens exist...i belive in like all that odd stuff :D
Reading your comments to other users, your trying SOO desperately to defend that this is a something paranormal, so nice try!! But on both sides of this "object" you can see what appears to be wings flapping in rapid succession! Just because there is no light to attract an Insect, does not mean that there isn't a possibility an insect can land on this very spot!
I am trying to describe the environment in as much detail as possible, I didn't say it couldn't be a bug. I did say that we examined the camera, location and dozens of videos, so we have more information than any of you watching a 20 second clip. I am looking for ideas of what it could be, and have not heard anything that sounds too convincing.
Besides, it looks as if this is in some type of office building? Your trying to say that dust can not be picked up by any type of breeze? If it's in an office building, there is a ventilation system, easy way to carry dust particles! It is more probable an instect would be in front of the lens, as opposed to a "GHOST" being in front of the lens LOL!! There are such things as ghost, but this is not one of those videos that show proof!!
It is a warehouse, and certainly there is dust. This clip does not look like dust, and there is no light near the camera to reflect off the dust particles which must be within 4" of the lense to show up on the video.
there are a lot a thing that the "figure" can be. one it can be dust IF the dust dust was always blown around. two light on the lens light at the right angle can appear make apprearitions. three steam/smoke in the area or it is a real ghost
I think if it was light on the lense it would have to be in motion, or interruped in some way to appear to cause motion. But these were always taken in the middle of the night with no one around, and very few light sources in the whole warehouse. I think we disproved the other two theories in the process of our investigation, but unfortunately we cannot go back to the location to do more tests.
I think that is the least likely explanation of this footage, no offense. There was no air blowing in the area, and dust doesn't quite behave in that manner. Thanks for trying.
i cant say one way or the other but i know i have captured something on my cam that looked like a stingray...wish that i could post it but my computer went down and i think its gone...
Again though, it looks more like a reflection. You should check that out. =/ Get a flashlight and see if it does the same or reflects off of something. It didn't seem to go through anything, just shine off of it as it moved around.
We did a thorough inspection of the area, nothing to reflect on, again this happened in the middle of the night (no lights moving around.) We really did study this awhile and tried many things before "assuming" this was a ghost. We also checked out the camera. I wouldn't have presented this as paranormal activity if there wasn't other phenomena at the location to suggest that it was. We can't go back the manager decided it was evil and didn't want to call further attention to it.
All night every night this happens you say? It's possible it's just a light reflecting off of something. It is moving, but if the thing it's reflecting off of is disturbed or get hit by more light that can happen. If it is a ghost and does the same thing every night, it may be a residual. =/ I don't think it's a ghost though. Sorry.
Ok, I guess I didn't mean literally all night every night, but it happens enough to lead me to believe it's not a bug. It is very possibly residual, but there are other phenomena at the location that are very active.
I dunno. Maybe it's the camera. >>; Don't jump right on it being a ghost. Sure it's possible though. It's rather weird. n.n I need to set up a camera here. @_@ See if I can catch why things keep opening and falling. Then upload it here. XD
The problem is getting the video into a format I can post. They originated in a proprietary security system software. I had someone else help me with this one.
The camera is focussed on the objects below, the moth is close to the camera thats why its blurry, all insects can control their flight, because the camera doesnt have a light doesnt mean a moth cant fly close to it.
I understand that a moth can fly anywhere and eventually it might fly near the camera, but constantly all night every night? No. The camera was focused to infinity, we held objects close to the camera and they were not blurry.
I wasn't referring to normal small moths but to the larger Lunar Moth. This moth has a large wingspan and is slightly irridescent. These moths can grow to the size of a large man's hand. I know because one of these moths attacked my sister's face. The insects body can be as big around as a thumb. I am sorry but I stick with my original statement. It looks too much like a lunar moth.
Everyone has their own opinion, but this was dozens of video clips over the course of several cooler months. I don't see how the same moth was flying around this particular area at this time of year, always at the perfect distance to be blurry/transparent. Like I have said before, there is no light on or near the camera to attract bugs. So why would it be flying there?
Interesting catch, but it's just not clear enough in that format. Too many people will say it's a bug - and really, am not so sure it isn't, it isn't even as conclusive as a good orb on video. I believe you when you say the place is active, but this might be one for the personal file?
You're right it's not clear. We have about ten different video clips including a couple of a black "orb." It is really more interesting, looking at all of the clips and comparing them. The problem is getting them in a universal format. They are much more interesting, in my opinion, than any typical "orb" video. Can any paranormal video be "conclusive?" No.
Of course, a moth was the first thing we thought of as well. However, we had the benefit of 20+ videos to study and the opportunity to view actual insects and objects near the camera in real time. Not to mention the 30 years of extreme paranormal activity, and an excellent EVP captured on our first visit. This haunting made large men afraid to work alone at night in the building. I would really like to hear a better possible explanation.
It does look like wings, but we saw bugs flying by the camera and they didn't look like this, you could clearly tell it was a bug. There was also no reason for it to be blurry because it wasn't flying that fast, and it wouldn't look transparent. Moths don't hover like humming birds (at least none that I've ever seen), and there was no light source close to the camera to attract bugs.
looks like watever it is its got wings, probably a bug, just blurred or something.... i dono

Perhaps a mosquito or a fly hovering about.

I instantly recognized this as a spider. The way it moves makes it look like its going across the lens area dangling in a web.
