It is also obviously edited for time. People are saying it's good because the girls were falling asleep in the other U.S. interviews.

@tuts333 I'm not fluent in Korean, but it sounds like he mixed formal and informal speech, which would sound weird. If I heard correctly, he referred to Taeyeon as 너 (nuh) which is an informal way to say "you", but he ended his sentence with 습니다 (sumnida) which is a formal ending. So it was comprehensible, but strange.

The girls must not have expected the interviewer to speak Korean so it really shocked them when he started to talk in Korean to Taeyeon and made funny comments in Korean. It's very professional for the interviewer to know about the girls and if he's not extremely fluent in Korean, to at least be able to understand and speak in short phrases to them.

@takenoprisoner42 Tiffany and Jessica was born in the US and lived there for a short amount of time. Jessica moved back to Korea when she was 7 or 10 years old, I don't remember. Tiffany moved back to Korea when she was 15 years old. They grew up together because they spent their trainee days living and going to school together in Korea. They practically saw each other grow from teenager into women.

I think i'm the only one who thinks this, but to me it seems like Tiffany's english has more of an accent compared to Jessica's english o_o not that it's bad but that's just what I hear.

@JenAshxDuh You're hearing right. Jessica was born in San Francisco, so she has more of San Franciscan accent. And Tiffany was born in Diamond Bar, so hers is more Diamond Bar-esque. You'd be surprised at the slight differences in accents between close geographical regions. Plus, they have lived in Korea for quite some time now, so Tiffany might have picked up more of that accent as well.

There are some differences in slang and colloquial phrases between regions (i.e. NorCal vs. SoCal), but as far as accents go, it's all the same. Unless you're talking about different ethnic groups, but then that's a different topic altogether.
