It's an ancient practice. Another great way to split a psyche is with bombarments of "double binds" that's worse than physical torture IMO. So the trick to survivng it "whole" is to never forget who you are but let them think you forgot.

My professor said that the ones who breake down during torture and give 'info',are innocent because real terrorists (i don't believe terrorists are the ones in the mountaines but the ones behind their big wooden desks) are trained not to give important info.

These things he mentions as torture... painful stress positions... threats with dogs... forced nudity... intense sleep deprivation... all these are employed in U.S. prisons on domestic soil, in your own state. You don't have to go to some mysterious 'black site' offshore to find these. And yes, they really do create psychosis and mess people up pretty bad.

Although not (officially) a war prisoner, I feel like I've been mentally tortured while in forced hospitalisation (in Holland). I still occasionally suffer nightmares from it. Not giving up; I'm going to legally challenge the ps. hospital and/or the mayor of Amsterdam (who is ultimately responsible).

There is a social worker in Ireland who used mental torture on me during assessments.
He never knew that I was a trained psychologist-and that I understood his game.
So, the question is- how many uneducated people did this guy destroy in secret.?
I now hear of children in Canada suffering the same at the hands of child protection officers.

Try vitamin B1. About 100 mg. before you go to bed each night. This totally handled nightmares and night terrors for me.
