  • Thanks m8!

  • is this banana????

  • OMG This vid cant be true, THANKS A LOT, Ill rate it good (cuz stars dont exist anymore) everyday, u rock

  • Kiddies should understand you are using the "easy" sheet music. Happy that you have posted this (as a keyboardist, rather than all the gtr tutors) but your "organ sound" is gonna make the guitarists laugh at us (try any Roland VK-series machines), and your fingering is atrocious! Also, the arpeggios are LOWER HARMONY INVERSIONS that should be played with the true melody line. Try: Am(root), E(1inv), Gm(root), D(1inv), then do all the next F and Dm arpeggios 1inv higher.

  • @PoffyTheCucumber -CONT'D: The LOWER harmony arpegs that you play here should be played with the LEFT HAND while the right hand plays the upper inversions I stated above. (That's what creates that "flutish, flapping" sound in the recording.) Also, your very first rundown (D-Db-Bb-A) has a quintuplet figure thrown in. Thanks for the effort tho - it might encourage more keyboardists to ROCK. (But first, with all respect, please find a better HARD ROCK ORGAN sound... :)

  • @PoffyTheCucumber - CONT'D: Also note that the big "swishing" sound after the last chord bang is created by BANGING THE HAMMOND WITH YOUR THIGH. That sound cannot be created any other way, except by the reverb springs inside the monolithical Hammond B3.

  • @PoffyTheCucumber Thankyou for your insight, I have a much better keyboard now so I could probably do the solo more justice now :)

The two-handed arpeggios sound fun, may give them a try. :P

  • thanks a lot and its brilliant

  • Thank you!!!

  • good tutorial.

Do anybody know where to get that book?

  • Thanks, I'm glad I could help you :D

  • thanks a lot !!

where do u get the sheet?

  • I figured it out.

  • Awesome... I tried teaching myself and this helped me fix my errors and fill in the blanks that I was stuck on (such as that part that you called the hardest, which I couldn't agree with you more on) Right now I'm doing part near the beginning with two hands lol. I use my left index to just tap the first note of each sequence and rotate between the other 2 with my right index and ring fingers lol :) Nice Job!

  • Hey, I'm glad this helped with learning the solo.

    Thanks for your comment :)

  • hey im the same person as goffdok1 (different account) ...posted video response of my attempt at it :) check it out

  • Hey, where did you get your notes?

I've been practicing a different version of this (goes A-C-E,G#-B-E...) on GP.

And thanks for this tutorial.. too bad my Yamaha PSR413 does not have Dist effect :(

  • I figured it out myself.

I think it was recorded in two layers, one layer with the E-A-C-E pattern I play in the video, and then an A-C-E-C pattern which goes over the top. It's the same chord, it's just the position's changed (the E is on the top rather than the bottom).

I guess any way would work, I just figured it out that way, and imo it's a bit easier to play (the thumb is more fixed, and the other two fingers do most of the work)

And you're welcome, any rock organ sound should work fine!

  • figured it out? you have the sheet music right there.

  • Yeah, the sheet music I made myself.

  • get a used yamaha effects box for $50 or so.

  • very very helpful. I don't think I'll ever get the dexterity or speed accuracy neccesary to play this, but it was very helpful. I'll probably watch it a million times before I get it even 30% as good as you!

  • Hey,

I'm glad this was helpful to you.

Just practise it slowly (really slowly if it helps) to build up your dexterity.

What sort of standard are you working at?

    Ryan

  • I played classical piano as a pre-teen/teen, but I gave up lessons (to focus on classical voice) . I was stubborn and never actually learned proper music theory. I used to play the piano very well, but am now trying to re-teach myself. I'm finding it somewhat difficult on the Korg Triton that I have as its not fully weighted like I'm used to playing.

  • Oh, cool.

I've been having lessons for about 8 years now, and I'm being entered for Grade 5 theory this March in preparation to start my Grade 6 work.

I think that if you just started relearning and practising some scales and arpeggios, it would do you a lot of good, theory wise as well as regaining your speed and dexterity.

  • hey man, great video.

can u send a copy of the score, please?

    I'll really apreeciate it.

    Thnx

  • yo can you hook me up with the sheet music for this? great vid

  • Yeah, sure, PM me your email adress and I'll send you the sheet music.

  • 4:11 I mean F major, not F minor...

  • I think that chord you weren't sure about is some sort of fourth chord that includes the C and the G below it.

  • :| you sound right different, like a sex god

  • nice job, congratulations! can you send this score?

  • Thanks, and pm me with your email, and I can sort you out with a copy (Y)

    Ryan

  • man, this is amazing great job

  • Thankyou for your feedback :)

  • cool

  • Thanks.

  • amm... I'd like to know how long have you been practicising this solo.

Look, I have studied piano for 3 years and now I wanna play the organ in a band with some friends... how long do you think I'll have to practice this solo?

Oh, I was forgeting, congratulations...you are a great organ player... can you give me your email adress ?

    Thanks

(Sorry if my English wasn't good, I'm so tired now xD)
