Well the vid description says 'Medical Marijuanna indooor 10,000' so I would think yes, it is legal to run a 10,000 watt grow where he is, as long as it falls under state/county limits.

State law is only 6 mature plants but in some counties, like Oakland, allows you up to 72.

So I would imagine he's sitting pretty in one of those.

Legal and by the book - just hella expensive to run.

No topping, or training? Try that next time, it will even your canopy, allowing for better light dispersion and absorption. Becuase your didnt train, fmi, top exe.... light is taken in disproportionately. As a result you cannot get your lights as close to the canopies as you would like. With the plants being that large i would also suggest using verticle lights. To get lumens to the underexposed bottom branches ;) happ growing nice garden!

In order for topping to be effective you have to have a good topping strain... sometimes you have to grow tree style to get the best quality outcome...

And "lollipopping sucks" is also a very untrue statement. If a 1000 watt light is supposed to be 5 feet away from the plant, and your plants are 3 feet tall, that is 8 feet away from the bottom of the plant, why would you leave branches on that far away? think before you type.

divide that by say 600 ft2 (20 width by 30 length....any grower comment?)

and you have a lumen to ft2 ratio of 3000 or less, and popcorn buds

add CFLs to eliminate those shadows in the middle and sides of the room

I have 15 plants with 5 lights and i pull 6 and a half a harvest, its what u feed them and how u set it up CO2 is also needed to have the best results!

Its not the watts that count it's the LUMANs that count. I have 250 watts also but it is a CFL. It produces 20,000 lumans. A 250 watt HPS only produces 33,000 lumans. A 400 watt HPS produces 50,000 lumans. a 600 watt HPS produces 90,000 lumans. Has nothing to do with the wattage. Has to do with the light output and what the plant can take.
