Agreed, SEED was a very good way to bring in a new branch of fans to Gundam, which lost momentum after Char's Counterattack (No shortness of cool in that end thou!)Wing has less of a collective story, But both series have good points.

Gundam Wing's strong points were the zero system and the pilots. I feel the suits of SEED and SEED Destiny were better, but at least Heero wasn't a crybaby and didn't hesitate to kill. SEED and Destiny aren't remakes of the original UC series, the storylines are practicaly ripoffs. Kira Yamato will never match Amuro Ray. Think about it: Amuro wound up dead but still has fans, Yamato lives and is not entirely accepted by many gundam fans

SEED was not that bad, to me it was better than Gundam Wing, but Destiny killed the CE Era, who ever directed it should get jumped. SEED Stargazer even though only 15 minutes was actually pretty good

This series is being directed by Seiji Mizushima, the same guy who directed full Metal Alchemist so this series has some promise. I liked Seed, but when Seed Destiny rolled around, I think Fukuda didn't care and ran it into the ground. I also agree with SoulBroRyu, we need another U.C. tv series.

yes! more gundam! though I am sad no more SEED, thought the Cosmic Era was going to be the next big Gundam Universe since UC. But this seems to have, like others have said, the gundam look from SEED along with the formula from Wing with bishonen pilots(4 instead of 5 here). We'll see how this goes, but Im excited for fall.

I am no anime nut, but I have seen a couple Gundam shows. Strangely, SEED Destiny was the only one I actually enjoyed - it had a depth and a tragedy that others seemed to lack. Add onto that how subtle the seperation between "Hero" and "Villian" was made for a compelling story. But to each his own.
