- that A&R is doing what the numbers tell him to do, in the end its about money. and i hate to keep going back to the kids today, but thats exactly what the problem is. they are the ones buying (or not buying) artists like these giving a signal to the execs that this is not what the public wants to hear.....

They're telling us what we want....and our kids minds aren't strong enough to know any better.....it's all a scheme to keep us as ignorant as possible.....to keep us selling drugs and getting locked up......and DYING. This is the Devil's market....thats why music w/ soul is frowned upon.....and thats why i do Gospel ;-)

- i remember being teased for listening to real music as a teen and not the latest pop bullshit being fed to us.

We are a rare breed we were back then and we are now. I have a 14 yr old niece that LOVES Bilal and other artists that 14 yr old lil black girls normally don't get into creative music, but thats mostly because her MOTHER listens to all the more soulful music (she is a singer as well named Ngina Fayola, check her out), the point is yea we are rare and there are kids 2day thats rare as well, but we as parents have to expose them to this and all other kinds of good, soulful, spirit filled music ;-)

- i NEVER listen to the radio so by the off chance he gets a few seconds of some trash playing on the radio between me switching cd's he gets the strangest confused look on his face like "turn this shit off dad", LOL!

She now hears some songs out there and is like "Well, that's fun, but it's not REAL." That is what being a real Mom/Dad is all about.
