I know, not too much but good enough for another year lol. The 9800gtx+ is freakin good. And now I got sli, even better. But I'm still kind paying it off. :P
you mean, you are paying the card in parcels? i still think about the 2008's end... my father bought it to me. i flashed a smile the size of my chicks. (lol, double meaning xD) this card was the freaking best thing available with one chip. hot damn! I GOT A BEAST! YEAH!
Nice rig you got there. I'm about to buy a new CPU cooler, mostly because the original cooler for my Q8200 is making some buzzy sound and isn't really quiet. How is the SpinQ? Is it quiet and a good cooler? Would be nice to know, since we have the same CPU :)
oh if you overclock.. well at stock cpu settings no overclock the cpu runs idle at 23c for me and at load 30, gaming stays at 35 or less. Never any higher.. it's amazing how the antec 900 hold up. I have a total of almost 8 fans LOL. PCI fan slots count :D Am i that nuts? :D I can go 11 if i wanted to! i wonder what the temps would be! I have gone 20c 68F :D wow!
Thats cool, I never knew what my stock temps were, when i built this, i went straight to oc'ing it lol. the antec 900 is nice, i think i have about the same amount of fans.
Im thinking of getting a system. Don't know if its good or not. XPS 630 Intel Core 2 Q8200 (4MB,2.33GHz,1333FSB) Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium Edition SP1,64bit 8GB Duel Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz(4DIMM) nVidia GeForce 9800 GT 512MB Hard Drive 750GB-7200RPM,SATA 3.0Gb/s,16MB Cache Intergrated 7.1 Channel Audio AGEIA PhysX physics accelerator Mmm yea Sorry I dont know much about systems I already bought it for $1650 CAN Just wanna know if it's gonna play future games. Got Moneys worth?
It looks ok, It looks like that motherboard it comes with can actually overclock so thats a good thing, and it has an extra pci-e so you can add another 9800gt if its sli capable. I would say that will be an ok buy.
im about to buy the SpinQ and some cold cathode blue lights to make my case bright. does the spinQ work perfectly on the 780i ftw mobo? i got the same mobo, is there any space issues between north bridge and fan? does the 3pin connector work on 4pin?
The SpinQ works perfectly fine, may depend on your case, its quit large. Theres enough space from the north bridge fan and the cooler. There should be a 3pin connector near it. It should be northeast of the cpu. lol. ANd yes the cpu cooler uses pushpins theres 4 holes and 2 sticks
not bad prety much same wat im getn except im getn asrock mobo)3sli, 780i chipset) 4gb OCZ RAm 3.2Dual Core MAD 6400+ 9800gtx+ssc videocard(evga) Microsoft Sidewinder Mouse and Keyboard Some thermaltake case(silver aluminum) 21" HP Monitor Antec 650W PSU
i heard it it possible to oc q8200 to 3ghz with 800 somewhat leaving it on CL5 and adding more voltage or setting lower frequency after increasing cpu fsb which will oc your ddr2's too
you probably can get it to 3.0Ghz, its not gonna fry your stuff. just make sure it gets a little more voltage than stock. I think it only affects your memory if you link your memory together with the FSB. Other than that im not sure. You can always mess with the memory later anyways.
well i have auras wave lpt-709 cooler so i think i should get it work with 3ghz at 1,3v on asus p5ql-e with quite low temps, if they are i'll just think about oc'ing it more.
what are your northbridge voltage settings, southbridge, etc ?
well i was working with it for a bit and got it to 2.8 on stock vcore. I just had it OCed to 3.2Ghz. Its stable on 1.32vcore. You can try that but every cpu is different. Yours might oc better than mines or mines may be better. But yea, mine is OCed to 3.2Ghz on 1.32v.
creed rocks!!! :D

Have you tried oc your cpu further?
MrogQuad33 2 years ago
I want to but i haven't lately. I think I'm going to wait till I get a new cpu cooler or go water. and this cpu isnt so oc friendly.

you got a neat rig. not too overwhelming, but powerful enough, i know! i'm proud fo'ya. we have the same GPU, we rock. xD

man my card was the best one out at the time, but they always gotta make newer and better ones. and guess what, my card's price goes down.

DaBeaver89 2 years ago
Thanks, The SpinQ is great, its quiet and works good. temps may be a little up there in the 50's if you OC to 3.3+ :(
jxiong053 2 years ago
Glad to hear :) I'll probably be in touch later on when I'm about to OC (if you don't mind) :) . Don't have a clue about what V-Core i should set :P
DaBeaver89 2 years ago
No problem, vcore stock should be able to go up to 2.8-2.9ish Ghz.

See if the motherboard has 2 or more PCI-e x16 slots. And see if the card has a sli bridge connector.

I never link memory with cpu ;) So nothing should happen. I'm getting it next week at tuesday after my driving license exam ;p
FreedomPLMarcin 3 years ago
Oh ok. Most overclockers usually link their memory or they call it sli memory.
Good luck at the exam.
jxiong053 3 years ago
i hope i'll be able to overclock it to 3ghz with 800mhz ddr2's
FreedomPLMarcin 3 years ago
I havent messed with the NB and SB voltage yet. or dont pay any attention to it lol. Im still learning how to OC.
Im not yet sure either, i have 1066 memory. 2x2gb dominators.
