  • This is one of my favourite Leo Brouwer pieces; it always reminds me of the rain. Your recording reminds me of the rainy autumn/winter of 2006. 5 stars.

  • i'm nearly shocked about you and the guitar... I think that this performance yours is simply PERFECT

  • sounds like a woman is walking on the street with an umbrella in a rainy day, thinking and recalling some thing.nice music, nice performance, thanks for posing

  • hey dude thats just beautifull, i love

classical music or instrumental music, i play the guitar too, but i haven´t load videos yet, i hope i will soon, grettings..

  • Hey Great job!

I think that each interpreter has it's own way to feel and express de music, furthermore contemporary music allows it.

keep it like that, you are feeling it well.

as far as i know this masterpiece is called "un dia de noviembre" because it was dedicated to john lennon after he was murdered. Sorry my english...

  • No NO and NO

    and you know why.

  • I would like to know too...with all respect for the performer ofcourse.

  • hey, great job! i always love your videos, is it possible for you to share the sheet music for this piece with me? thank you so much. keep posting

  • Quite possibly the only Brouwer piece I genuinely like. Well played. Most of his music is just way too abstract for my taste but this ... beautiful piece. He's clearly a gifted composer. Pity so much of his work is avant guard.

  • Neat interpretation without much distortion as other interpretator's vids.

    BlueJazzyClassic

  • Leo Brouwer is dutch right? Is he from the north of Holland? Beautiful piece!

  • cuban

  • He's from Cuba, not Holland, although this piece does sound like the inspiration for it was the flat rolling rivers of Holland.

  • Leo Brouwer is the most dutch name; he must have dutch ancestors. Thanks for posting!

  • and cuban use this sound for movie called by the same name, my grandpa was the principal charcter on that movie, BEAUTIFUL SONG!!!

  • hahahahahaha. Cuban. And very Cuban at that:

    birthname: Juan Leovigildo Brouwer Mezquida

Brouwer part oculd've come from family living in the Dutch Antiles but I am just guessing.

  • hahaha okeyy haha

yes, not so dutch now :P

  • Beautiful :-)

  • This is great. You're good! :D

  • Beautiful....

  • Muy bién ejecutado, pero un poco lento.Un saludo.

  • Çok güzel çalmışsın.

    Notası var mı? :)

  • *kwijl*

  • Dude, please don't forget to muffle E6 and A5 when necessary, it'll sound way better. You play the main theme with deep breath - way to go!

    (sorry for bad English)

  • Very well played, almost as well done as when I heard it played by Ricardo Cobo.

Where did you find the sheet music?

  • finally heard ricardo cobo yesterday in a concert.. he is phenomenal.. played un dia en noviembre

  • When i heard him play this piece it seemed to last so much longer than when I play it or here a version of it. I love Cobo's playing, he plays with so little effort and so much emotion. I am fortunate enough to live in the same area that his teacher Aaron Shear lives in. My High School guitar teacher is the composer for the studies in Aaron Shear's series of books. Love the exposure i get.

  • Jose eso es para tu cumpleanos...Sarita te quiero muchisimo

  • This piece is great. I love Brouwer's work and you do it justice as an interpreter.

  • Dude this is wonderful...I love how you play

    great interpretation and clarity...

    Wonderful job

  • perfect. i liked it so much )

    november is my month )

  • "A day in November"

  • LOL, verdad!

  • @mcbaldan A day of November!!!!!!!!!

  • @mcbaldan Why do you go up there at 2:25?

  • @zulkiflimnoer Means "A day In November"

  • @zulkiflimnoer Means "A day In November" Sebuah hari Pada bulan November

  • @zulkiflimnoer one november's day

  • played far 2 fast in my opinion

  • I don't agree with you. I think this song was so fluid, that slowing the whole thing would make it boring. But that's my opinion.

  • beautiful melody, beautiful play, and really good recording.

  • Great!

  • Bravo. Elegant, lots of feeling. Bravo.

  • kudos, my friend...

  • Your playing is heavenly!!!I have an Alvarez AC60S also. Could you let me know what kind and what tension your strings are? Thank you.

  • Thank you! In all my videos I used D'addario High Tension strings.

  • @mcbaldan cool song man. nice version. similar to the sound i had, almost exact in punctuation. i have a newer version on my page. maybe you can dig on that one. cheers

  • Great playing!!

Can you tell me what guittar is that? Is a hand made guitar or what? I have to change my old guittar, so, I apreciate if you tell me something about the woods used on it.

    Thenks!

  • Thank you. It's an intermediate level guitar (Alvarez AC60S - not handmade). Solid cedar top, mahogany back and sides, rosewood fretboard.

  • Thank you for posting this, really made learning this piece all that much easier :)

  • Ya hocam notalarını buLamadım ben bunun yaa..Çok güzeL giriş müziği var yaa...iLk böLümü daha bir başka şarkının ... Varsa sende senden aLabiLir miyim?

  • Beautiful playing -- I was transported! Thank you!

  • amazing!! I'm going to tell my professor i want to learn that.

  • Thanks for all the comments! It's a relatively easy piece, I don't think you need a professor to teach you. I pretty much learned all the pieces I know by myself :-D

  • I'm speechless.

    It's gorgeous.

  • You should try "La catedral" of Barrios Mongore, you have the skills to play that piece.

  • Thanks a lot for your comments and encouragement. I was thinking of trying that piece some day.

  • Awesome man, great job.

  • Very lovely!

  • Thanks

  • very well done...

  • Thank you

  • Great, you play really beautiful, I like very much to see you playing! your sound is delicate and expressive.

  • Thank you Ovidio. I try to be as expressive as I can.

  • Watch him carefully! He looks at the camera sometimes and smiles :) We are here Can, and listening you, dont worry :D I really liked it.

  • I look at the camera to make sure it's still recording (sometimes it turns off because of dead batteries or full memory). Thanks for listening :)

  • I'm just teasing, though i like it :D

  • Great job man. Keep it up!

  • Hi Can! Very, very nice to hear you play this. I really like your version. A bit faster than mine and I like that! You have some great "guitarhands"! In other words, a good technique.

    Respect,

    Peo

  • Thank you Peo. I think this piece can be beautiful in a few different tempos. Of course my version is not flawless like yours!

  • ilk defa dinlediğim bir eser bu ve çok beğendim.süpersinnn..
