i can remeber that road from going to the pleasuredome and it is very creepy old road ive been told about that ghost by a few people does anyone no if its still haunted today ?

Having a green, pitted-face thing suddenly block your windshield would likely cause more accidents than prevent them. (Sounds like a body undergoing decay - maybe they were kept on the gibbet as a warning to other highwaymen.) Most of the people described the thing as distressed, which means it's just as well that it moved on. Don't worry, the world hasn't run out of ghosts after thousands of years of human habitation.

I've been thinking about this video since. Perhaps the medium's incantations have made no difference. But here's a prime opportunity for scientific investigation - repeated sightings, loads of witnesses - and you want to get rid of the ghost? What a waste. And after all, maybe it's only doing a bit of Road Safety Awareness (though I'd veer off the road). I hope it's all still there.

Shame, I think if I was a ghost who had been wandering around that site for quite a few years or decades, I'd like someone to come along and release me. I wouldn't want to be stuck in a limbo for so long.

normally I might say ghosts are just recordings.. but this one seems to be warning people? or at least, interacting in a way that's not just like a video replay. So I was going to disagree with you. But maybe you're right. I'm mean aren't i.

Also I wonder if the idea of a 'genius loci' is something like this??

If you were a ghost, wouldn't you want to go to paradise instead of the A15? Would you be okay with staying there in the interests of 'research'? How can you say "What a waste!" - a little bit selfish don't you think?

Yeah, meanness admitted (see above). Don't think I believe in paradise though, smacks of keeping the proles quiet while they're alive. Maybe warning people of traffic danger is a good way to spend the afterlife - who says the ghost is miserable? Only some daft medium who could be making it up. This ghost seems to be 'real' and experienced by loads of ordinary people, not just a bunch of mediums.
