an acquantance of mine was 'attacked' by a young orca in 1984. He was researching underwater at Goat island, Leigh, New Zealand when he felt something grab his fin and shake him violently; it was a young orca. It took off.
ive worked at a marine theme parks in australia and a killer whale did attack me cos i was training as a handler at the theme park ive also been attacked by a dolphin
it was only my second day and we practiceing for marine show and i made slight mistake with a ball it hit the whale and with the dolphin i accidentley got a hook caught on its fin i dident get hurt too badly though my trainer moved me away in time before i got seriously hurt
nothing i got taken to be checked out to see how badly i was hurt then had a 2 days off training and went back to normal and it all worked out fine but attacks like that are very rare
