Had one done this morning. Had to have three times more anaesthetic than men do usually, and STILL felt considerable pain. At one point, they used a little hook thing to pull my vas tubes through the slit and I felt the metal!!! I had it done yesterday. The injection only stung a little but the real pain was when the surgeon pulled the first vas from the scrotum. He was very professional and calm and just gave a little bit more local anaesthetic. I would be lying if I said the procedure was a breeze because it was a bit uncomfortable. After the anaesthetic wore off I popped a couple of paracetamol tablets and the ache went away. Today I don't need any pain killers and you can only just feel a bit of a twinge.

Get the no scalpel vasectomy. My no scalpel lasted 20 minutes, and I walked out with one stitch. I took tylenol extra strength for three days, took things easy for a few days(plan it 4 a friday afternoon), and had no problems. No scalpel is much less invasive than this type, and I was ready to play again in a week(Doc said no sex for a week, so at 7 days I was like a rabbit)

Also I have harder, longer erections now, and can last a bit longer.
