At the end of the production I saw, before the final blackout, there was a quote by Charles Schulz, it was "Be yourself, no one can say you're doing it wrong." And I think that made the entire show.
My university's theatre department just did this show and I went to go see it being a huge Peanuts fan. I literally cried at the end. It was amazing. Really grabs you when Beethoven walks out at the end.
beautiful. what a good ending to my favorite stage play.

@soccergladiator5
That quote may have made the entire show, but it's not actually part of the official script.

whos is CS??? Was he/she mentioned in the comic strip?

Charles Schulz, the creator of Peanuts.
It's kind of like God writing you a letter and rationalizing your whole existence.

"CS" is "Charles Schulz," the creator of Charlie Brown. He passed away some years ago.

It's not a musical.

What's the piece playing when Beethoven walks out? It looked and sounded amazing!!

It's "(You'd be so) Easy to Love" by Cole Porter, featured in the musical *Anything Goes*

Um, yeah, it's so NOT Cole Porter.
It's the second movement of Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 8 in C minor, op. 13

I saw this only a few hours ago, done by a local theater group.
What a great show.
