One thing my friends do is use hollowbodys and similtaniously mic the amp and the guitar itself, very cool affect if you ballance it right, especially if you pan from one to the other

@LenMooney thanks! i just wear the gloves if my hands are cold. i used to suffer from tendonitis, but improved technique (especially eliminating tension) and regular exercise have eliminated that problem.

@djgino3544 thanks! that's a live recording. what you're hearing is what you're seeing. we only used 3 mics, one for each of us. we used a sennheiser MD421 drums. you can see it right above the kit. i can't remember what we used on the organ. nothing fancy. i think we put an sm57 on the guitar.

This is tight funky stuff, with some skoke house grease and pork rinds thrown in. I hear some James Brown/ Jimmy Nolan guitar riffs, some fat "Funk Inc" style organ. I stumbled onto this post. Keep playing it right because what you are dropping is sho' 'nuff tight.
