@81Summa I have been doing this for a very long time. I noticed It grows back lighter and less in areas. Yes I have thought about laser but its still pretty new and im worried about the after effects like (cancers/scarring and stuff) so im going to keep on waxing like this for another 5-6 years until im done university. After that Im going to get laser done after I graduate Uni and have paid off all my student loans :) Are you considering laser yourself? Does waxing not show you good results?
@SweetpeaMango i actually havent waxed before. im getting laser at the moment. ive got my 4th treatment coming up in a few weeks. The results have so far been really good. cant wait for the 6 treatments to be done to see the end result. the reason i didnt wax in the 1st place is cause i was worried more would grow etc . . . if u do get laser,, make sure u shop around for a good technician, u wont get burnt or scarring if you go to someone who knows what theyre doing and is careful
@81Summa okay thank you...i hope the rest of your treatments go well...can i contact you after a few months (once your 6th treatment is done) to find out how it went and how things turned out? i want to see if it works because i have plans to get it done too :)
@Barcevas yes i have a couple times, its because you waxed the same place twice, like you went over the same place that you already did. You need to be very precise when you apply it making sure you only apply it to the areas that haven't already been waxed. If the strip missed a couple hairs, DONT, NEVER EVER: re-apply wax on the same place and pull it!!!! PLEASE LEAVE it and move onto a place that haven't been waxed...use a tweezer to pull out the ones that got left behind ok?
@Barcevas i suggest buying the gigi spatulas for you. yes they are expensive compared to popscicle sticks but they are very precise with the application. was this your first time waxing? that could also be the reason why. my first 5 times were really painful, . but you get use to it. also make sure you apply ALOT of pre-epilation powder on before you apply the wax. It will help protect the skin alot! Just keep applying olive oil to the ripped area of skin ok, it will help it heal faster. <3
@SweetpeaMango when u said your first 5 times were painful, did u have chemical burns? I have sensitive skin and I tried waxing myself the other night. My face burned all night and I woke up with chemical burns. I'm hoping a unsented baby powder or the gigi powder will help next time. I'm tired of paying $10 for a lip waxing every week. I have the anzule calming oil now. I've tried nad's wax strips before and had issues there too.
@ninanee2008 no i didnt get chemical burns, my skin was just irritated so it turned red and it was a bit sensitive. so I apply olive oil right after to soothe it. wax at night and olive oil it after so your skin has time to rest over night. Dont worry you get use to it over time. I wax myself all the time now and it doesn't hurt anymore.i feel ya i need to wax atleast 2 times a week and it use to cost me so much money :( thats why i got this and i love it!! the convenience is awesome too !!
@ADesertKitten I havnt used the sure clean stuff so i dont know if it works or not...but I just dip a cotton swab in nail polish remover and rub it on the wax...it takes it right off :) you need to force and rub it in though it works for me. hope this helps :)
@kekuichi everything came to $65 for me :) i got mine when they had a special...so i only had to pay for the wax warmer...i got strips, and wax for free...so be on the look out at sallys for these sales ok :)
Thanx sweety
