this just shows that this band changes so much that you can't just predict how their going to make there next album because everyone of them is totally different in sound & message.

overall one of the most overlooked band by nirvana during the grunge era, still very good & awesome live performances from an impromptu band.

My favorite Victoria Williams song!

Vic sings along with Eddie here, on Pearl Jam's cover from 1993.

Victoria's original was released on her "Loose" cd in 1994. I can't remember another time when a cover was released BEFORE the artist's own song! And she sang backround vocals on it. And it was more popular than her own excellent musical creation!

I just posted the offical video for "Crazy Mary" (for the 1st time on youtube), and will link it here as a video response. It's worth a look!

@rorian69 - They did it for the Sweet Relief benefit album. Victoria Williams was unfortunately diagnosed with Multiple Schlerosis and Pearl Jam wanted to try and raise money for her hospital bills as she didn't have health insurance. They often play it live though and are good friends with Victoria Williams the original artist. Every time I've seen PJ Live when they play Crazy Mary you usually hear fans singing every word. It's always really special :)

Thanks for your post, I live in a very rich ski town in wyoming(im not rich). We have a woman who everyone calls the crazy lady. If you call her that anyone that lives here knows to whom you refer. I always avoided her , one day my 13 yr old daughter struck up a conversation with her and found she to be a good, wonderfull person. This song reminds me that nobody is totally what they seem.

I shit you not, the trash reaches the windows and molds around the driver's seat. I knew that she was crazy when she grabbed a flyer plastered on her windshield and threw it in the trash instead of her car. I was blown away. That lady will live in my memory as Crazy Mary for the rest of my life. "Newspaper covered walls" for real.
