i don't mean to be rude, and for all i know this gentleman mr.flannery may be just chatting to friends in an informal manner but there are several inaccuracies throughout this. U.C.G. U.C.D U.C.C all provided education for the catholic classes who could afford it. Irish remains compulsory in schools although in some cases exemptions are given, usually to kids with learning difficulties or kids who are only recently resident.
