The thing on the front is basically a hub where you connect accessories to an internal PTO (power take-off). Like a rototiller attachment for your tractor. I personally love the food grinder unit, and the pasta roller/cutter set.
sweet young lady and I like the way she talks.I bought an as is KM on ebay(PURPLE) for 100.00 shipping included and checked it out as soon as it got here.the only thing wrong was 1 wire had cam off it's post, hooked it back up and WALLA it works fine.I know everybody can't fix things so I am blessed.
enjoyed your video,,,,i am planning to get my wife one of these for christmas and the video was a big help in showing how simple the mixer is to use,,good job.
Nice to view an explanation of the features... but a review should surely include an assessment of performance? We just bought one of this series, and it's standing unused on the counter because all of our friends tell us it isn't powerful enough to mix even one loaf of bread!

@dan0478 please don't listen to anybody else just use the thing. The most low powered of these mixers were born to make bread and so much more.Ever thought these people are just jealous? I am a straight 48 yr old man that just happens to love to cook and wanted 1 for 10 or more year before I finally got it and now I would'nt trade it for anything
Definitely shop around. I just bought a brand new KitchenAid Professional 600 6qt 575 Watt Stand Mixer at Kohls and the final price was about $217. This is the newest model which retails for around $399 on sale.
With mine, Kohls had a sale price of $359. They also had a 20% off discount which brought the price down to $287. With taxes, the total price came to about $317. KitchenAid had a rebate for $50 and Kohls had another program where I got a $50 voucher after spending $300.
The mixer is a KSM150PSOB Artisan Series 5-Quart Mixer, Onyx Black. I got it on ebay bidding for $130 brand new. My mixer, I found out later, was making an abnormal noise so I called the company and they replaced it immediately with few questions asked, and free shipping (they send all the labels). So even if you get it from a place like ebay the warranty is still good (I would suggest just in case not saying you got it from ebay, but I doubt they care). I so glad you found the video helpful!
@lollypop959 pls can u tell which ebay seller u used. thank you. very helpful review. I have been wanting to buy this for a long time but its soo expensive!

Thanks, but it's not really a "review". You've explained some of the operations.
