Now THIS is ROCK MUSIC! THIS is what it's all about...errrr, should I say WAS all about. NO ONE writes/plays music like this anymore. SAD... Kids today know NOTHING about music; if they're not a rare kid in classical deep or jazz far, they just don't make songs like this anymore. WOW! Remember hearing this on AM radio way back in grade school; this first turned me onto Rock & Pop. Good luck trying to match this kiddies. God bless U, Terry Kath&Chicago;hope you're listening on a cloud high up
lamm, loughanane, pankow, parazaider, just not enough chemistry for the real Chicago....terry is gone, pete split...and you guys screwed danny.....LETS GET WITH THE REAL PROGRAM
The guitar is not the issue here. Listen to the drums. This is one of the very last performances of Danny Seraphine with Chicago. According to Seraphine's book, this was one of the performances that was allegedly so poor on his part that it led to his dismissal from the band. You be the judge.
Sorry the guitar solo sucks!!! The solo has nothing to do with the song. Listen to Earth Wind and Fire with Chicago performing this song. You'll know what I mean.
I guess it was the sound of the time... but Dawayne is way over-the-top here. He is an amazing guitarist, but the solo makes my ears ache!! Keith Howland is a much better fit for Chicago!
I have to agree with some of th comments. Nice arrangement, until the overdone guitar solos kicked in. Tapered off a bit, this would have been a superb performance.
I like this version actually. I think what did it for me was the heavier distorted guitar sound. Most notably during the "Sitting cross-legged on the floor" part of the song and the 2 other similar areas. The guitar player really bangs out those chords.
I'll admit, though, the solo was a bit over the top and should have been toned way down.
and bailey is not coltrane. nor should he try to be. cheers to him for at least doing his thing. and cheers to chicago in this vid for not sounding the textbook way people think they should
Well thanks for posting this great video, ChicagoCollector. Much appreciated!Besides his other many talents, good looks and charm, I've always known Bill is also a brilliant guitarist. It's great to see him having so much fun mixing it up with other brilliant guitarists! Dawayne is surely one of the best, and Jason is awesome too.
Wow! Doesn't get any better than THIS!! Hands down my favorite version EVER! Absolutely love Dawayne and Bill hamming it up for the camera in the beginning and just those two together playing is incredible! Gimme some more of THAT!
Kudos to the camera guy on this one, Pankow was lovin' it!
Oh, what I wouldn't give to have this scenario current day!
wheres Terry K!!!!!

The guitar lead reminds me of my high school days when each band member is trying their best to out do the other...and when enough is never enough!

Chicago, please bring Danny back and beg Peter. Even if only for a one night only Chicago reunion show with a variety of respectful Kath tributes.

The instrumental is solid in this version, but the vocals are really lacking which is unfortunate. He's done a solid job in other versions though.

89-94 were awsome yrs for chicago with dawayne, he just brought life to the band.
dawayne is one of my fav guitarists, hate to say it , but he doesnt even come close to where terry was. I wish D was still in the band.
