This is a great uplifting song about these last days and looking forward to the coming of our Lord and Christ Jesus. It saddens me to see comments like earlier comments in this post but I am glad that our God is God and looks at the heart of all and gives His grace to all His children for his glory, God is so great, Praise His Holy Name!!!!
@Juryes112 some good songs are testify, draw me close to you, God is good, i'm amazed, and there are probably more, but right now i'm not thinking of them. :P
I love this song - great job. I do believe in instruments, but appreciate the beauty of the voice given. Obviously, I am penticostal too, so sorry for the horrible comments posted attacking your faith. Not a great witness for our faith. I believe that there is room for modern music as long as the music is godly; not contorted to be worldy like so many so called christian musicians are now. I loved reading your responses so many sound like they were from my home pastor.
@Evangeline220 I don't dig through garbage cans to find food. Neither do I search through worldly sounding music to find some nugget of truth! Matt. 6:7 "But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking"....vs 8. "BE NOT YE THEREFORE LIKE UNTO THEM..." I believe that would also apply to "There's no god like Jehovah. There's no god like Jehovah. There's no god like Jehovah. There's no god like Jehovah"...ect...ect...ect
@holinesspentecostal To compare "Days of Elijah" and other contemporary music to garbage is disgusting. Do you, also, compare the newer translations of the Bible to garbage?
@Evangeline220 ABSOLUTELY! I don't own any other translation of the scripture outside of the KJV, neither is it allowed our my home! We don't smoke or drink liquor either! Any other questions?
Those of us who know our Bibles, have discernment, and are baptized with the Holy Ghost and Fire will always be considered "disgusting" by worldly, lukewarm, liberal, loose living, unregenerate, pew warmers!
@holinesspentecostal The KJV of the Bible was accurately translated 400 years ago. The current translations were also accurately translated going back to the earliest available manuscripts. The difference is that the KJV is very difficult to understand. The others are not. The Holy Spirit will teach anyone willing to learn from any Bible translation. The Holy Spirit will give discernment to any Christian who, "Walks in the Spirit and does not carry out the desires of the flesh."
Respond to this video... The Holy Spirit will also teach anyone who is seeking Him and bring him to Christ. God can use any type of Christian music to bring unbelievers to Christ and believers of all ages to worship Him.
The greatest commandment to followers of Christ is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, strength and mind, and your neighbor as yourself. That love does not come from a spirit of condemnation.
@holinesspentecostal The Bible says "Don not get drunk with wine...be filled with the Holy Spirit". It says nothing about smoking, although, I believe that is not taking good care of the temple of the Holy Spirit.
@holinesspentecostal Do you lead very many sinners to repentance and faith in Christ. I may be wrong, but I sense a very legalistic attitude in your posts, and not much love or compassion to our dying world.
@Evangeline220 I sense a very illegalistic attitude from you! Which is worse, legalism, or illegalism? Have your ungodly traditions have made the law and Word of God of none effect? (Mark 7:13)
The pharisees were ungodly liberals who used the Talmud to excuse murder, child rape, and extortion!
I have led many to repentance, but that is no gage of a true man or woman of God! We know them by their fruits.....We have our FRUIT unto HOLINESS and the end thereof everlasting life.(Rom. 6:22)
@holinesspentecostal What ungodly traditions are you accusing me of? Reading my Bible, praying, worship, letting the Spirit of God work in and through me? Or is it that I will associate with sinners, being a light in the darkness? Is it because I am more concerned about the "least of these my brethen" and therefore will give a "cup of cold water" to one in need? Is it because I surrender my will to my Heavenly Father so I can go where He wants me to go and do what He wants me to do?
@Evangeline220 CCM music is full of satanic cultism and filth. Most of the performers are adulterers and fornicators. They dress in the most provocative and lewd garb on the planet, yet it's all done under the banner and name of Jesus Christ! If you want to buy into that corruption and claim "I surrender my will to my Heavenly Father....." then all I can say is....You are sadly deceived! If the Spirit of Truth worked through you, you would be GREIVED by this unscriptural worship!
@Evangeline220 Jesus makes it very clear in Matt. 6 over and over again......" BE NOT YE THEREFORE LIKE UNTO THEM". We are commanded not to give like the hypocrits and heathens, pray like the hypocrits and heathens, and fast like the hypocrits and heathens.
What makes you think you can worship and sing like the hypocrits and heathen?
You can't answer that question, because you are guilty!
Now you tell me who is more of a pharisee and who is not?
The law of love is the most difficult to follow. I worship God in many ways because His Son has forgiven me of all my sins. Do you judge me because I see the tremendous beauty in His creation and respond in praise and worship? Or because I see more value in the kid next door, than others see? Or that I love and pray for the woman who beat my son?
@Evangeline220 You stated "God can use any type of christian music......" ANY TYPE? Maybe you need to go to a website called: thisdogbarks dott comm and read my article entitled "Is Contemporary Christian Music Really Christian?" That will shed a lot of scriptural light on your warped concept of what is "Christian Music". You judge me as having a "legalistic attitude". Your statement insinuates that it must be more honorable to have an illegalistic one. That was my point! Legalism is not sin!
@Evangeline220 I TOTALLY AGREE! A man who will not tell you the truth DOES NOT LOVE YOU! There's a HUGE lack of love in the modern church! Preachers only preach to fill their pews and line their pocketbooks! That's not love, that's SELFISHNESS! A man who scratches your itching ear does not love you! He only loves himself! Jesus said, "If you love me, keep my commandments". (John 14:15, 23)
@holinesspentecostal I have been in churches where that is true. Some of what is being taught sickens me. I have also been in lukewarm churches that sing the old time hymns, but forget to preach the Word of God. But, I have also been in churches that use both contemporary music, along with old time hymns, and the Word of God is taught accurately. Those attending check what is taught by the Scriptures. It is a place where people come to Christ and where the love of God is obvious.
@Evangeline220 If a church uses the modern CCM music in their worship service, then they are already lukewarm.......I don't care what they preach in their pulpit or how nice the people seem. You can find the website link to my article on my channel now. It works just fine. My article will explain why I'm so vehemently opposed to this kind of music in the house of God!
@holinesspentecostal I misjudged you. I thought you were from a different "Thou shall not" church. I'm not that familiar with COG. But after viewing your website, I can see where you get your ideas from and they are not from God. I saw nothing resembling waves of the HS in your video. Read I Cor 14:26-40. I, also, saw disorder. It is proof that your comments are totally unBiblical.
@Evangeline220 I have read 1 Cor. 14 and in no place does Paul condemn speaking in tongues in prayer or worship. He establishes order with regards to communicating with a congregation in tongues via the "Gift of Tongues". That gift must be accompanied by an interpretation....which was done in that video! He established a distinction between "praying and singing in the Spirit and with the understanding also" verses the use of the "Gift of Tongues"! Shouting and rejoicing is also scriptural!
@Evangeline220 Now tell me who belongs to a "Thou Shalt Not" Church? My Bible is full of "Thou Shalts and Thou Shalt nots! I'm glad I speak with tongues more than you all!.....Sounds like "Thou shalt" to me! Rejoice in the Lord always....and again I say rejoice. Sounds like another "Thou Shalt" to me! Lifting up holy hand without wrath or doubting sounds like a "thou shalt" to me! Be ye HOLY for I am HOLY.....sounds like another "Thou Shalt" to me!
@Evangeline220 I guess the folks in my video should have had their hair spiked and dyed green and rockin' and rollin' with the lights off. Then it would have been acceptable! You haven't read my article and refuse to answer my scriptural premise. Therefore, I have nothing else to add to this insanity. You judge the authority of the Word of God based on some video? That's really amazing! I have no further comment!
@holinesspentecostal and @Evangeline220 - Hey, guys, you know what else the Bible says? Romans 14:1. 1 Corinthians 1:10-13. The church is so weak today because people ignore these verses.
This music oh my goodness brings an old song to life and then some. Despite all that is happening in the Middle East, America, and all around the world. The reminder to keep you eyes on Heaven makes it exciting to Praise God and Jesus!!!! Despite all that is going on around me I am just so pumped after listening to this!!!
