i would just like to say as a higher drama student at eden court theatre that you have watched all of his worst performances. timothy spall is a character actor i would doubt that he is interested in leadroles. you have missed out his extreme acting feats such as pierrpoint. i would recomend that if you are interested in reviewing you watch more up market films. other than i enjoyed the gnosh!
I am also a Timothy Spall fan, he has the greatest sense of humour. If seen alot his movies, but i still have alot of movies i haven´t seen yet. I really agree with splrix and DheeLocke. Thanks for posting it ^^
- I hate those labels, i mean it´s the first thing people say... All though i like Sweeney Todd, i think he is hilarious in it. xD
I like him both good and bad.
I was amazed by his accent as well, in Last Samurai.
Oh! And I don't know if you can get a hold of it or not, but in the BBC radio play of the Narnia series in the last book he does the voice of Puzzle the Donkey! He was always my favorite character in the Narnia books and so when I found out Timothy Spall did his voice in the radio play I thought that was really cool. I listened to that after I checked it out from my library.
Cool little vid about him even with the "ahs" and "ums" XD
I loved him in enchanted! Yeah and I don't know if "cute" is the right word either but that's the only one I ever came up with ;P
Have you ever seen him in "Shooting the Past"? It not really my taste in movies but his character is definately worth watching. It's different than his usual being neither passive nor a henchman, but definately memorable. I highly recament it.
i strongly agree with the 'shooting the past' recommendation, he's absolutely brilliant in it. i would call it one of my favorite roles of his, and i'd be willing to guess that i've seen the majority of his film work (he's my favorite actor as well ; ]). you might also check out 'love's labour's lost' or 'still crazy' for something completely different.
