I rode the one in Disney World and it was fabulous. The animatronic Sparrows were awesome and then when I got off the ride there was a Jack Sparrow performing outside! My husband had to drag me away from the show.

I was fortunate enough to visit Disneyland back in '88, so I got to see the original ride, and though its a shame they modernized it, I think adding characters from the movies was a nice touch. It also, probably, makes it a little more appealing to little kids, who may not appreciate the original.
