Well im a supermotard rider! Also i had a lot's of bikes! The best supermotard is Honda ,fast good handling and unbreakble engine!! And light!!! Now i get hyper sp evo ! For the city and go out!! Great bike!
For all days in dowtown is good! Out is fantastic- ktm and others are too different! Not easy to drive no handling-and for the rest you have to try one! Hyper..
I'd like to give the Ducati a test, but Ducati dealers in my area don't do tests. Once a year they show up somewhere for demos but I don't know when that is and I'd like a bike now. Triumph, on the other hand, has the good sense to let their bikes sell themselves by test rides.
I own a hyper myself, and I'm really sick of these nerdy comparisons with other bikes, it was made to be a crazy fun bike and that's what it delivers, fun for the first 20 minutes! go back to touching yourself, I never want to get of it and my wrists don't hurt. Cool dj thinks there unpractical.... THERE NOT MEANT TO BE! yet seems to do everything just fine.
@DSjunkie Hey I am want to get myself a hyper, I am just over 6 feet tall, is it comfy for a tall person? I have monster now and sometimes it feels a bit small, thanks
speed triple every time had shit loads of fun on b roads, also done 350 miles in 1 day bar fuel stops ,with no gel seat ,cos unless you've got some weird shaped arse the normal write ups are unjustified & the 1 thing about triumph no matter were you stop you'll get talking to a random old bloke that used to have 1 & will recommend the best pub for a pint & a bite to eat ,must say again shiiiiit loads ooooo fun !!!!!!!!!!!!
reviews seems very unbalanced. At least inform viewers beforehand that you pick bikes before even riding them! Or just dont talk and let the bikes run while we judge.
i realy must admit that the Hypermotard series like Ducati Hypermotard 1100 or the Aprilia smv 750 dorsoduro... they are TOYS, theyr unpractical and theyr all about fun.
How about the comparing the smaller Hypermotard and the Street Triple? They are both lighter and easier on gas. Cheaper insurance too. But still plenty of fun.
Get a hypermotard wiht an 1198 engine in it, problems sovled. Nah don't watch the vid, try each of them for yourselves then decide. I've not rode any of these bikes but I like bikes that handle, Handling allways betters power on the road as most bikes are fast enough. Comfort, well I got an 1198s and it says it all. I got another bike for town purposes.
i liked when you guys incorperated one of your readers into a "whats my next step" type of video. you had a guy with his 2003gsxr750 that wanted something new, so you took him out and let him drive a couple of different options, then you guys and him did a bit of a review on pro's and con's of alternatives...
anyway i thought that was a better approach than this since your having the input of a person that actually is going to spend some cash on a bike in the near future
I think you're missing the point. They're comparing which is more fun. going fast is great on the track, but pretty useless on the street. That's why they're looking at the Hyp and the S3 so hard. Street bikes vs Sport bikes.
for the money spent on the ducati i would buy an k5 750 and a 450 ktm enduro/supermotard and would rule the city/track/highway/twisties/hills/forests
@daspascool English UK, I'm from Latvia and my English is not native language, but I understand them very well, also Australians and US guys. Dunno where is the problem.
i think when they would talk closer to the microphone (and use a cover against wind noise AND lose the accent ;) i would be able to understand them better
i have had the Hypermotard for a year and i ended selling it. it is fun on b roads but thats about it. being quite tall the total lack of wind protection was a thing that really bummed me out. there were some other points on top of that that made me sell it, but from those three bikes i would have taken the triple as well.
They didnt jump the Ducati. It looks like a heavy dirt bike. Look at all that suspension travel. Should have found some ramps or something to get it into the air. :)
@ motorcyclenewsdotcom for a Newbie thats in love with the Yamaha R1 (2008) love the engine 180bhp now i can get it for roughly 10,000euro but for a city and work and pleasure would you recommend the Yamaha R6 or a Suzuki GSXR600 or the 2008Yamaha R1. Can you give me an advice. I live in the Netherlands .
How can a motorcycle be "too extreme"???? the Hyper is awesome fun, looks amazing, is sneeky fast, sounds incredible and is totally comfy for all-day riding (I did 500 miles on mine last weekend). The Triple & the Gixxer are fun at speeds above the legal limit... the Hyper is loads of fun at any speed... I've owned an s1000rr, a Speed Triple, a Ninja zx6r, and trust me... the Hyperis more enjoyable (not to mention it's an Italian icon as well) than any of them... Ciao!
How can you say that the Ducati sounds better than the Speed Triple? We all know that the triple engine is a peach and the over run is also a lovely sound...
triumph is better looking

ducati 1100 vs speed triple vs gixxer 600??? (why would you compare a 600 with these two?)
112bhp gixxer 600= no power
95bhp speed triple= looks like a bug
123bhp ducati= beautiful but expensive
133hbp gixxer 750= good looking, good price and waaaaayyyy beter

nah mate its not designed for off roading at all, its a supermoto , looks are all it has in common with a motocross bike
there are better supermotos for less then the duke, and a deaf man would tell you that old hat ac engine doesn't sound better then a inline triple.
seems they kind of picked the worse bikes of each class
