i think whichever method u use whether its advanced or not, if you can't cope up with hand speed techniques and piece position after each move, its difficult to breach the 10sec barrier. Nakajima and Harris have these qualities now and its up to them to beat the 7sec barrier. I think sub 7should be the ultimate point of 3x3x3 speedcubers in future time. keep up the good work Harris! admire your work and confidence! ciao!
you know if you go behind all the POPULAR cubers on youtube you will find some more cubers or even better...like Erik Akkersdijk, or Dan Cohen. Eriks WR 3x3 solve of 7.08 and dan cohen with 4x4 and 5x5 single and average records
6 months later... yup, there's sub-7 solves out there, but I think they're both lucky, and of course they're unofficial. The official record wasn't even sub-7 (pretty close), yet it was lucky.
So first:
-Non-Lucky Sub-7 Solves
-Non-Lucky Sub-7 Solve In Competition
-And if we're lucky (no pun intended), an actual Sub-7 average, lucky solves or not.
wow haha your real cool now more like 5 years instead of 5 seconds if you were really that good why dont you show us instead of posting useless shitty comments fucktard

all the tutorials and shit about how to make one colour go to one place and he does it that fast by hardly looking at the thing b4 he starts this is fucking brill
lol the guy beside harris solve his cube at 53 secs.... and is it true normally in competition cubers normally solve their cube slower compare to the one's at home?? because of the pressure n tension n stuff..??

No, I saw this same thing from another angle, he's doing a 3x3x3, just pretty slowly. Looks like the beginners layer-by-layer method to me from the other video.
Obviously you have no idea what you are talking about, I was stating my comment in reference to the person TO THE LEFT of Harris who got a 53.50 second solve. And say 'Fridrich', not "advanced f2l" because that is what he uses. Many methods use a similar 'advanced f2l' to Fridrich. I suggest you learn to read before making yourself look like a fool.
i was at the competition but i didnt see that since i was waiting for my turn...as soon as i entered the room to start my time, you finished the 9.8 second solve :(
This vid has my version , it's the second one. I'm not talking about the vid in my profile, I'm talking about the second version of his solve in this vid.
W00t GO HARRIS! Note me right there giving the second high-five, go me. Haha me and Bill (the guy in front) were going to go run up in front of the time to get in everyone's pictures :P
YEAH HARRIS, to bad i was in the waiting room so i couldn't see the solve but looked out side when i heard the "ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh", that me standing to the right of the door at :52

Andrew Kang hit sub-7 unofficially. He didn't submit it to speedcubing. He told me he only will submit marathons now.

No it isn't. If you read th rules, you'll know that isn't. The slowest official is on 6 min. So 53 sec. is still official.
