The key in which this song was sung is the best and most worshipful. In the stanza that begins with "He took my sins and my sorrows" I like to replace the word "the" with "my" He bore MY burden at Calvary. It makes the song more personal. because Jesus is my personal saviour.
Everybody who knows Christ Jesus as their personal Lord and saviour should sing it this way, but don't let me tell you how to sing it, but sing according to the Holy Spirit.
can i borrow you for my youth group in the UK, we just did a youth service and all the singers lacked confidence so I had to belt out the words =) but if you're ever in the UK come visit
Great to hear a brother belt out one of my favourites . In a world where His precious name is most commonly used as a swear word it is great to hear our dear Lord Jesus praised for his grace toward us. Rock on man.
