If you have actually ever gone to see Northlandz, you would know that your statement is not true. The curator is very attentive to detail when it comes to the trains. He has spent a lifetime on this world-class set up of HO-scale trains. And a couple cars here and there only makes up a few of hundreds of trains that run very realistically. I think you need to spend more time on enjoying this great treat for model railroading instead of focusing on minuscule details. I would go mo
my problem with this is you spent all that time on making such beautiful scenery, but you have four or five car trains running way to fast with conrail pulling Amtrak trains.......just not very realist!!! Yes you can do what you want, but something this big and with some much detail you think they would try to pay more attention to the trains lol I would have 30-40 car trains, moving at a more realistic speed!!
This is really beautiful. Gotta admit though, Wunderland has 100% more animation PLUS, these trains are running at "toy" speeds, not model speeds. Much too fast. It takes a great deal away from the magnifigance of the layout.
I have met the owner and talked with him.He was very helpful. When wa all say, (been there done that) you must go see it in person because some of the videos and photos are great but do not due justice for the size. The MODEL RAILROADER issue September 1997 was its first time i wanted to go.
THANK YOU, BRUCE ZACCAGNINO for all you have done for the public.
This has got to be the most awesome display of model railroading i have ever seen in my life:):):):). I live on the extreme west coast & i hope one day to travel to New Jersey and see this BEAUTIFUL expansive display of model railroading at it's best and finest. Until then i'll keep running my 10' X 12' H.O. lay-out at home and dream about visiting Northlandz. and expanding my own railroad table. Thanks for posting:):):):)
I'd like to go see this in person, but it's half a country away....
Hard to believe this started out as a guys basement layout.... I know if I don't stop bying trains, I'll have enough stuff to build something like this before I die.......
Did you bootleg upload this cause this is the video their site "made" me download. I went to the Northlandz site and it said click to play video but it said download file when I clicked on it.

I went there once with my family. It's probably the biggest, best, and most amazing model railroad place in the world.

The scariest thing is the bad jokes on the little placards. "This is the outhouse! Oh look, it's built over a canyon. Hope grandma doesn't fall out"
