we turn the dials on the scopes to what the spotter says, therefore it will always look like you're aiming directly at the target. BUT i totally agree that this game is complete bs :)

i dont find anything too hard on sniping, but what makes the difference between a good sniper and a bad one is that a good sniper has to have patience, there is really no point of taking a shot before 8 seconds, so even if u have counted 6 seconds and ur losing target, a good sniper wont take a shot, i would be a waste and show off its location. So it depends on a personality. And once you get your patience, you will see scores like 17/0 etc (had so last round)

you have the option to set a attack marker or a move maker when you are the squad leader, and the game shows the distance.

Be aware that we were not plaing the normal BF2, we were using a mod called Project Reality. All the game was on line and against other players. And do search about Project Reality. you'll have surprises :)

You have to account for distance in BF2. It's just the ranges seem a lot different in each game.

Well, I guess part of the fun is the possibility to play "soldier" without the risk of getting shot. The realism of this game is what makes it so fun. Of course there are some that take it just a little too seriously, but just ignore them and you will have a great time.

We say contact because it can be enemy but it can also be friendly, most ppl say "enemy there!" but leads to ton of teamkills, so expecienced players say "contact!" (the correct way to say)
