  • This was a good one Shira. Its been too long since you gave us a good rant. This was a good one. And thats coming from someone who doesnt use the word. But I dont judge! Cuz I used to. I may use it again! I may not. If I want to say it, I will, If I dont, I wont. Nobody runs my mouth for me but me and god. I do tell people Im not they n(gga when they say my n(gga. Mostly cuz its just fun to mess with people. Lol.

  • LOVE YOUR VIDS....And you told the truth and always do.

  • You are just an angry nigger! You are mad because you are a smelly greasy nigger! Go back to Apefrica you stinking bitch! Here is where you will find the truth about these apes! Niggermania!

  • The Four Agreements is an awesome book! It definitely changed my paradigm on things!

  • "The only way to regain control is to be honest" --- wow. That is quoatable right there.

  • Soooo.....because you have a degree in A.A Studies, it gives you the right to use "The N Word" anytime you want?

  • @naturalhairedhoney that wasn't my point at all... would be interested in knowing it or was that rhetorical? point is... i've spent quite a bit of time arguing this point BECAUSe of having the degree... and yes i feel i have the right to use it not because of a silly degree, but because i know my reasons for using it, which, i might add, would take about 1 hour to articulate and not fully enough but i didn't care to justify it in this vid more than i did... i'm not sure ppl saw the intent but

  • @naturalhairedhoney (cont) i didnt really care to make everyone get the pic, not that they would agree with me anyway, but truth is, if an architect tells you how to design a building, i'm sure they've spent a bit of time learning about it compared to the average joe... same as my point about aa studies .. spent a lot of time with that word breaking it down beyond its emotional implications and i've arrived at my conclusions for many reasons, explaining i have a degree...

  • @naturalhairedhoney simply solidifies my standpoint... and really, i don't care if even the kkk uses the 'n' word... it's not my job to be offended and fight that battle... it's not nice, but the intent behind the word is quite important in its use... i am also an entertainer, and many a black male comedian (dave chappelle, chris rock, katt williams, etc) use it as a staple, i have heard few complaints... i'm presuming people realize its intent 1), and 2), it tends to be less taboo for them to

  • @naturalhairedhoney use it... in short, i have gone on and on about this, and could forever, but to specifically answer your q: i do have the right to use the word... everyone does, but NO not due to my degree...that point was made for another reason... i talk a lot ,and am quite inarticulate when doing so in a hurried manner... we can chop this up if u like, otherwise, yeah, i no longer give a crap who uses the word... i think people give words more power than they are worth... regardless

  • @naturalhairedhoney of the sociohistorical implications of words... the truth is, i'm not a nigger, so if i were to get upset, i'd be validating the truth of it, and i mean... i'm not one ... just like men call me "bitch" when ignore their cat calls, i don't have to be a feminist and fight each one... i pick my battles, and "frankly, i don't give a damn" i'm not a bitch so call me what u want, it's truly ur standpoint and if i react, then i give it validity... end scene

  • @SugarFreeTV This is too damn much lol. Simply put, that word is not just a word. I don't even agree with Blacks using it. Too much baggage, stigma & blood attached to it. Nigger, Nigga, same shit, It may not be in the same context but it's no different and no better, whether those using it wanna admit it or not. I think there should be that level of respect for those who have been called that in such a dehumanizing way at least. But hey, do you Shira and others who wanna see it as just a word.

  • @naturalhairedhoney i agree... during slavery and the civil rights era, perhaps even except the deep south it may be offensive, where it has physical implications... but now...nigga and nigger have evolved 2 different meanings at best... besides, u and i both know i didn't call someone "nigger"... which is weird anyway being that i'm black...

  • @naturalhairedhoney ps, i am in no way excusing the racial history of our country... it is why i studied in the first place... but now, im talking about the reality of what it is... ithink where i am coming from may sound harsh or untruthful, but it is the deepest truth i know... because i am basing it off the idea that no matter what, hatred can be erased by not taking things personal (see "the four agreements")... because fundamentally, the world needs to be HEALED anyway... not HOLDING past

  • @naturalhairedhoney rather, use the past for reference and historical understanding... which is hard to do trust, i harbored the same feelings as you until the last 2 years for sure

  • @SugarFreeTV Without "Nigger", "Nigga" would not exist. It's the same thing. Yes, I know you didn't say Nigger, it was more of the reason you gave behind it. Granted, "Nigga" is quite prevalent in Urban culture...specifically with Black people, and will always be probably... unfortunately, but there's still no reason as to why that is...and there should be no reason. If anything your argument should have done the complete opposite. I'm not innocent, I have been guilty of using it...

  • @SugarFreeTV (cont'd)...But I'm older and wiser now. And to be honest, I never sounded right saying it lol. Because it is still common, I just keep it moving when hearing it, but there should never be a reason to use it, or any leeway. It is best that they use it and don't try to explain it, because truth be told there is no explanation. I don't know who woke up one day and decided they wanted to use this as a term of endearment...pretty strange. But it is what it is...I guess.

  • @naturalhairedhoney well... in my classes, as far as what we researched and discussed, it appeared that it evolved as a ownership of the term... from whom i am not certain, but as a taking back of the term to make it something positive... and furthermore, in areas of urban (as you referred to) influence began its inception. reason being, blacks had come off this high of civil rights, and in northern areas (ghettos created in well populated cities) blacks were creating a term of endearment out

  • @naturalhairedhoney (cont) to "own" something that had been used so recently to tear us down. blacks didn't use the exact form of the word, rather, a conjugation of it, for that reason. sort of like a pun intended in showing those using it for negative means that the bonds it created no longer held their same weight... unfortunately, they could not have known its impact on those in more affluent areas, who were connected w the struggle in a different way...thus the confusion it causes now

  • @SugarFreeTV Nope, I've heard that reason one too many times & it sounds ridiculous. There should be no reason why I am seeing other races/ethnicities now using it as well...in front of their black friends, if that's the case. I would never. I lost count on how many times I've heard a Caucasian say "Well, Black people call each other that why can't I" it's just ridiculous then gets confusing. Too many other terms to use, i.e Homie, Fam/Family, G, Dog, Playa, Duke lol, My Dude, Son, list goes on

  • @naturalhairedhoney sounds ridiculous? research has basis in fact and rumor has basis in nothing. you said you don't know who woke up and decided to use it as a term of endearment... and i'm you with proposed bases in research... once again, i had part in researching our history for 6 years of my undergraduate... i understand your offense with the word, but denial of its propagation is even sillier than our arguing this for the past 3 days... i have nothing else to offer on this point

  • @SugarFreeTV Girl you win. I would've thought that studying Black History would be all the more reason not to.

  • @naturalhairedhoney i 100% agree with you... but there was a book i read that held so much truth in it i definitely changed my perspective

  • @naturalhairedhoney *providing you with proposed bases in research... i meant to say.... can give you some bibliographical materials if you still think i'm giving you opinion here...

  • @naturalhairedhoney in addition to other life experiences

  • Amen!

  • it is absolutely my business if you commit a crime. it is everyone's business. that's how laws and our society works. if you commit a crime, your peers will necessarily judge you. if you don't like it, that's your problem.

you just run your mouth and have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

  • @zazfilm yes of course i run my mouth and have no idea what i'm talking about... apparently you didn't look at the deeper part of the msg

  • @zazfilm i have to admit, i did watch the rest of your video and found you compelling - in the same way that watching a train wreck is compelling. at one point, i actually said out loud, "Cocaine is a helluva drug".

  • @zazfilm so you get your jollies off dissing people? i'm speaking from a spiritual perspective and nothing more and that is what i'm talking about....as far as compelling is concerned...who asked you if i was compelling or not? i never negated your point...it's valid in the physical sense... in the spiritual sense, however, my point went a bit deeper, and you are being condescending as hell... how did u find my vids and why do u feel the need to be rude? just asking

  • I SAY AND EVERYTHING I DO FOR A REASON TOO I TREAT PEOPLE HOW I WANT TO BE TREATED TOO BUT THAT IS NOT ALWAYS HOW U GET TREATED AROUND ME I HAVE NO ONE TO TALK AND VISIT WITH AND ALL ALONE AND NO ONE UNDERSTANDS WHAT IM TRYING TO SAY. ITS FRUSTERATING..

  • Shira, did you murder your ex-boyfriend?

  • I agree that we as humans dont define ourselves by a degree/diploma, Former President bush went to Yale and he's still ignorant, generations before us never had schools and they were smart philosophers and etc. There is a quote that a person can swim all day in a sea of knowledge and still come out dry. There are pplin Harvard who only got in through daddy's cash! but many commentators on youtube are ridiculous, if you dont like video! EXIT OUT OF IT! stop flooding the wall

  • i love your channel , glad your back :)

  • you should run for president! :D

  • @BellaDonna0912 i would be assassinated lol

  • @SugarFreeTV LMFAO!!!!!

  • I don't think a degree means that you know more than someone else....

  • @ideolojay I dont think she was saying that it means she knows more than anyone else.. it was just in case someone was gonna say she was ignorant or watever for using the word, she had to study it and its origin so she was just showing that she isn't ignorant about it and its history

  • @jamaicancewtie5 u betta work lol

  • @jamaicancewtie5 and also, it is just assumed that the usage of that word implies ignorance, not personal choice of usage... based upon the fact that language is nothing but a composed set of vowel sounds and breath pressure with added meaning... i'd say intent is everything and the word itself has been given too much power... i had a whole series on the word, but i didn't feel like posting it lol

  • @ideolojay not at all... but begs the point that perhaps in that concentrated area, the likelihood of one's knowledge base being higher than the average joe is very substantial...especially when i really only got one "b+," to drag my gpa down... and the curriculum was taught by professional and published book writers... so... on the subject of how well-rounded my knowledge base is... i'd say, in this case, "yeah" i probably may...except other scholars might have a leg up on me... or not

  • @ideolojay i don't claim my degree implies knowledge, but how i obtained it certainly does... it's like saying a mechanical engineer doesn't necessarily know more than anyone else about creating the dynamics of a well-functioning engine... perhaps some mechanics may know, but the likelihood of the one with the degree (or who studied it more...which most likely is the one w the degree) is exponentially higher... in most cases

  • Well, I love your channel and I'm glad your back! Keep your head up girlie!
