  • I always thought 2:56 was the best music and that one day it would be sampled in a rap song. I guess a lot of rapper never played TMNT 2 when they were young lol

  • I love the drum beat on this.

  • I never will forget renting this game in 1990 and enjoying it to the fullest. I would finish watching my Saturday morning cartoons and then tear through this game (or so I thought at the time, I was young though) over and over with the code for I think it was 9 lives and allowed advancing to the last level. The game was so impressive to me at a time when I was so young that I didn't even know what "good graphics and sound" were, all I knew was this game was INCREDIBLY FUN TO PLAY!

  • I still have this game and the booklet that came with it. The back page of the booklet was a coupon for a free large pizza from either Pizza Hut or Domino's Pizza. I can't remember which pizza place because it's been a while since I've looked at the booklet, but I do remember not cashing in on the free pizza because I didn't want to destroy my booklet. LOL

  • I like how Raph just calmly walks through the level bitch slapping the foot clan.

  • i own this game, thought thought all of you needed to know

  • @CMOODO ha-ha.

  • Well, now here's a fucking classic! This game was so much better than the original. It was more like the arcades version. I remember spending hours at the arcade playing TMNT with my friends LOL!

These games bring back so many memories

  • waaay better then the original Ninja turtles theme song

  • The technodrome music is awesome, I'm looking for a metal version of it, because it is perfect for electric guitars.

  • I had this game man, and this brings back emotions I havent felt in awhile. Brought a tear to my eye!

  • The 2 best stage themes in the game weren't included in this compilation, ugh.

  • Love this game. But the Arcade version was better. Me and 3 other buddies at a birthday party at a bowling alley or a pizza hut, I cant remember, beat this game in like 3 hours and like $30 in quarters! HA Great times!

  • @George91280 This game and the X-Men arcade game took so much of my damn money when I was a kid...I'd probably be rich as hell if not for these games.

  • No, you are new, I've been on the internet for 14 years. I understand your enthusiasm we all loved this game when we were little...but...cmon..its what? 20 years later.. cmon. maybe talk a bit cooler and less like some gay person.

  • The first level should've been added. Besides that, most were the good ones

  • You forgot the one from stage one! It was a good song, in my opinion. (:

  • Man, this game was such a blast to play. Awesome music and everything, but man, whoever came up with the idea to have an attack move that drains your health should be shot!

  • @Camwi

maybe that guy was just thinking about TINSTAAFL at that time (anoying as it is) the principle is the same hehe

  • is the magic of the MIDI

  • I loved the boss music in this!

  • Agreed =D..Damn i played this game so muuch those songs really kept me going with a smile on my face like :"Bring it ooooon" =D hehe ^^

  • the character select music (starts at :17) is awesome.

  • 0.35 best boss music eva!!!!

  • Konami had that distinct sound, i knew a Konami game when i heard it

  • was anyone else ever disappointed they never did the same arcade-console transfer for the x-men arcade game?

  • i was more saddened there was never one for the Simpsons (other than an apparently crappy PC port)

  • Dude, I waited forEVER in vain for them to do an SNES port of X-Men. Then again, nothing is the same as playing that gigantic 6-way cabinet with 5 other people.

  • I was wondering if anyone else remembered that game. That's a game BEGGING to be brought to X-Box Live with co-op play.

  • The Arcade version of it IS on XBL. I have it on my 360 right now.

  • whoever is playing this is doing a damn good job. i've heard to many people whine about how there is no action in a game like this. this is straight art of war technique.

  • Do you like war then?

  • I couldn't even tell you how many hours I spent on this game when I was kid...good fucking times :)

  • I remember playing this the first time at some arcade...I was like 6 y old, And I remember I thought the fire at bottom off the screen in the first stage looked so real! haha

  • This game was so fucking awesome.

  • COWABONGA

  • At first I couldn't remember a thing. Then, at 2:25, I realize: "Holy shit, the rhino guy is going to come with the drill thing to get his ass kicked. Damn, I've played this game!"

    Oh, the memories.

  • i spent many quarters playing this one in the arcade

  • I played this with my cousin many years ago.

  • agreed, the technodrome music is so tiiiight.

  • Best song in TMNT 2 is in Technodrom stage.

  • The only NES music I like better than the Technodrome theme in this game is Dr. Wily Stage I/II in Mega Man 2.

    Fucking awesome.

  • loved the music

  • Great vid and music uptakes. made this ol' shellback smile at his pizza a little easier haha Rated you a +5 !

  • The Technodrome music is fucking epic!!

  • ahh memories! I agree the Technodrome theme rocked. I remember when I was a kid going to the arcade to play this game.back then 10 bucks in quarters for four of us to play it . We had a crowd of gamers watching me and my crew shell it out. Was a great game then, still is today!

  • You might want to note that the original arcade version was done by Mutsuhiko Izumi (who also worked on the arcade version of TMNTIV) & Miki Higashino. Keizou Nakamura arranged and composed the additional stage themes for the NES version.

  • Sure, that sounds noteworthy to me. Thanks for the info man, I modified the description for this entry, as well as the arcade version (was missing Miki there apparently). Props man, always cool when users help me out here and there.

  • I loooove this game, but the first part of level 4 is a chore to do after beating the game a bunch of times, and those guys with the spears I hate fighting.

My favorite music is the snow world. (not played)

  • this was the first video game i ever played. :D I was like 3 when it came out.

  • GOSH. I used to play this game for hours with my little brother XD Such good memories.

  • D: where's the first one

  • Besides annoying bosses in this game, I love every part of this game!

  • the bosses were pretty good..

i replayed the game.. and unfortunatley i got disapointed with fighting the foot soldiers it was repitive .. 2 hit kill .. or 1 combo

  • I was 8 when this game came out. I can remember waiting in line for hours at the arcade just to play one game.

  • Awesome, thanks for uploading it.

  • Man, i was 12 when this game came out. I love old school video game music;NES, SNES, Sega, you name it.
