  • my god D:

  • wtf he might die! doing that

  • you can never understand how hard it is to hold on for like six consecutive sets, even getting held down by 6 footers in newquay is exhausting

  • @articnub true

  • I find it very douche of the jetskii guy not to grab him at the last second

  • Bradshaw and his kronies are not regular folks!

  • in asia, europe, africa, and antarctica... the foams are white... in the gulf of mexico... the foams are black =P

  • @IncrediblyStupidName I wouldn't swim in the gulf

  • This.

This right here is why I simultaneously have so much respect for big wave surfers and NO plans to ever get anywhere close to attempting such madness.

  • this isnt the biggest wave ever. mike parsons has that world record at 77ft at cortes bank

  • @rebel9568 he said might be.. and now the biggest wave ever surfed is 95 foot by garret mcnamara

  • seriously, i thought he was going to drown by the weight of his balls

  • How much confidence would you have if you survived that beating???

  • did he died?

  • technical question to the big surfers out there: Do you think that he let go (undid the leash) of his surfboard after the first couple of waves to move more freely? i can't see his surfboard at the end..

  • @LapoSettepanze usually there is no leash for that reason you gave about moving more freely . Sometimes the leash can wrap around the rocks/reef underneath or even around your own neck, leg , arm whatever..and drag you down or keep you down. Big wave surfers are also able to take advantage of the new wetsuit technology that has air pockets throughout the to help keep the body afloat and buoyant. :) this clip gave me chills!

  • @LapoSettepanze There is no leash in tow-in surfing, the surfer is joint to the board just with footstraps

  • I heard chuck norris couldn't even ride a wave like that

  • I wish I could walk on water...

  • @jordanasi808 how would walking on water help you? you wouldnt beable to escape the waves..

  • @schnuper450 that's why i'll run on the waves, the same way I run on hills.

  • Respect.

  • (question for surfers) is it right that when there's a big wave, like that, then you better swim down deeper in the water so you won't be tossed away by the wave? is it true?

  • Lmfao was i the only person that held my breath watching this

  • I guess it's Pe'ahi also called "Jaws", at the north shore of Maui?!

  • jeeesus what a trooper. what caused him to suddenly veer right towards the end? looked like he avoided a bad part of the wave and was on track to ride the rest of it out

  • @counterhit121 you can see how he tries to get to the top of the wave because you can see how the section ahead starts breaking in front of him. surfers call that a close out and on a wave that big a closeout is something that you REALLY want to avoid. so he goes up to the top of the wave to try to pull off of it but it was a bit too late.

  • bem ...teve sorte o tipo!!mas demonstrou tomates , tb não podia fazer mais nada e tb demonstrou que surfar não é o forte dele!!

  • With balls the size of watermelons, I'm not surprised he fell off his board.

  • ive seen this doc..it's in hawaii..

  • wut the fack

  • I've heard plenty of horror stories about this place. Himi's is not for the faint of heart.

  • that's one big ass wave!

  • where did they say this is?

  • @tknight19 most likely to avoid dying...

  • @tknight19 Because you have to ride the waves with a diagonal path and he was trapped between two collapsed tunnels so he couldn't continue

  • holly crap that is some big waves lol what do you think was going throw his head when that happened

  • cowabunga? :D

  • Wow amazing waves!

  • 0:53 as the man comes and tries to help him with his wave runner, he says "fuck this, I ain't helpin your ass" and decides to drive away leaving Ken to suffer another wave.

  • I want to do this before I die..... It will probably be the last thing I do on my list.

  • this is in Billabong Odyssey.

  • @SamiDullard10 no it isn't - this is recent

  • @MrHughjones oh. my bad. thought it was that wave that guy made history with during that event haha.

  • If you dont surf or dive... you dont realize how big and heavy that wave is....

  • I would shit bricks

  • and at a 1:05 you look at the waves and your like ehh those swells dont look that big and than your like...... ok maybe they do

  • thee most ballsiest thing you can do on earth

  • I damn near died on a 12 foot overhead. Ate shit, went over the falls, ragdolled and dragged bottom for an eternity! Won't be doing that again. These guys are SICK!! BillabongXXL award?!?

  • Once a wave gets over 12ft being caught inside can be a real problem. Especially if you don't have a jetski to pull you out, break a legrope and are getting pushed towards the base of a 50ft sheer rock cliff by the current. The following waves just keep giving you a touch up and all you can do is keep trying, duckdiving and swimming because giving up is not an option.

With those waves in the vid well...............that takes the adrenaline up a couple of dozen notches.

    KB is a LEGEND!

  • Wow, if it had been me it would have ended with "after six consecutive waves, Malcolm's remains washed ashore a bloody, battered mess."

  • @mmschweizer That was one of the funniest things ive ever read.

  • Thanks, laughter is the best medicine.

  • @mmschweizer besides medicine

  • the wave ate him?

  • @konajgreg65. Looks like the North Shore of Oahu.

  • @neversaidnever76 i'ved surfed Waimea Bay back in the 80's and although it's been like over 30yrs. i guess the waves can change...

  • I was tossed around by a 4ft wave once, I can't even imagine the brutality of those monsters.

  • Holy mother of ...where is this ,i'd like to ride those waves!

  • @konajgreg65 it's pe'ahi, you better know what you're doing before you go there!

  • @099fred i think my memory has gone a little rusty, i live on oahu and don't remember this pe'ahi place

  • @konajgreg65 might be because it's on north shore maui, not oahu.

  • @099fred this was actually Himalayas on Hawaii's North Shore of Oahu.

  • I am telling you this is scary I have been in a similar situation with smaller waves it was not fun

  • Bloody nutter.

  • I'm drowning just watching this.

  • @spress97 i know right?.
