  • @JuanOfaKind88

Have you ever seen the original 1997 Swed film by Erik Skjoldbjærg? It stars Stellan Skarsgård.

  • @DoubleAAProduction88 No I have not I will look for it, thank you!

  • @JuanOfaKind88

It's terrific. I believe it's available on Criterion.

  • The music is Dream Is Collapsing

  • @DoubleAAProduction88 ...please include Dark Knight Rises to update this... if you can

  • @SuperOmnicron

I'll get on that very soon. I was thinking of doing it to begin with. But hearing your voices makes me want to do it all the more.

  • good vid. i think the slow motion worked for me cause nolan doesn't use it much or at all, so it's a nice change.

it also goes with the song of the dream collapsing cause in a dream your sense of time is altered. also, if the dream is unstable you might be trying to hold on to it which the slow motion would illustrate that.

  • @tiberiius

    somebody understands!

  • 1. Memento

    2. Inception

    3. The Dark Knight

    4. The Prestige

    5. Batman Begins

  • @Sporian55

  • name of the song??

  • @tbit4

"Dream is callopsing" by Hans Zimmer

  • I agree Nolan is one of my favorite movie makers. And Hans Zimmer is one of my favorite movie composers. So when these two make a movie together it equals greatness. I can not wait for DKR.

  • @007iloveJesus if you were using 15-20% of your brain you wouldnt be able to drop a turd even, or even blink. Its MIND!

  • 7. The Following

    6. Insomnia

    5. Batman Begins

    4. The Prestsige

    3. Memento

    2. The Dark Knight

    1. Inception

  • @Hagelnot you're wrong. chris uses 150%. go get attention elsewhere

  • "what's the last thing that you do remember?"

    -"my wife."

    "that's sweet."

    -"dying."

    *BRRRRRRRM BRRRRRRRM*

  • @007iloveJesus

no worries man, it's cool. :)

  • @007iloveJesus

    correct sir!

  • @DoubleAAProduction88 You know a director is good when even their worst movie is AMAZING!!!!

My least favorite Christopher Nolan movie was "The Prestige" but I loved the Prestige I thought it was excellent but not as good as his other films(btw I've seen all his movies except Insomnia and Following).

  • @09tranm

    love the prestige!

  • @09tranm Following is incredible. I have not Insomnia either. Here are my rankings

    1. The Dark Knight

    2. Inception

    3. Memento

    4. The Prestige

    5. Following

    6. Batman Begins (Only movie that isn't perfect).

  • @TonyMaster007 Oh right I just saw Insomnia it was pretty good actually. tbh though Insomnia is my least favorite followed by the prestige HOWEVER they're both great/awesome movies still.

    This is my order

The Dark Knight/Inception(yes they're tied I can't decide which one I like better)

    Memento

    Batman Begins

    The Prestige

    Insomnia

I have to see following soon.

  • @09tranm I find Inception and TDK to be very close; however, TDK is a bit better. For me TDK is very emotional, yes it is a Batman movie, but I find that Nolan did something remarkable with the main character in that film. Inception is also amazing.

  • @TonyMaster007 I am actually a bit biased towards batman because he has always been my favorite. I might even rank Inception higher than the dark knight but I don't partly because of my biased towards batman and Heath Ledger's awesome acting. In terms of story I enjoyed Inception more but in terms of character Dark Knight was slightly better(although Inception had great characters as well). Either way they're tied in that sense. I can't wait for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

  • @09tranm

    Mine would be

    1. Memento

    2. Dark knight

    3. Inception

    4. Insominia

    5. Prestige

  • @007iloveJesus

no problem, i thought your were being sarcastic., you know with bale's reaction at 00:53, he laughs, and you said that was your reaction when you saw this.

  • @007iloveJesus

    and that means....

  • christopher nolan and martin scorsese are my fav directors! i cant believe nolan got snubbed for best director nomination..thats so bitch! he will get it though sooner or later..it took scorsese over 30 years to get his oscar lol

  • An awesome montage for my favorite director. Christopher Nolan is a magnificent genius

  • @Syncopy528491

couldn't agree more on all levels.

  • @007iloveJesus

well we can thank hans zimmer for that tune you're hearing in the back of your mind. lol

  • This. Was beautiful. :')

  • wow my name is "peter william christopher nolan" yay !

  • just watch this :

    watch?v=20xD7eTcrxM

  • christopher nolan is just living vicariously through his actors, especially christian bale, but that dosent mean we can't do that too

  • all right Christopher Nolan is now my 2nd fave it dictor next to qitin ithink the best movies he made was 1 Inception.2nd "The Dark Knight. 3rd Batman Begins that all the best movies he made

  • @megagangster321

how bout "memento"? or "following"? those are amazing cerebal films that are just mind blowing even for todays standards. if you havent seen them i suggest you do so.

  • @DoubleAAProduction88 I actually liked The Prestige better than Batman Begins though Inception and Memento are the ones i consider to Nolan's Masterpieces

  • @DoubleAAProduction88 .... Outstanding! I may have to re-watch Insomnia (but loved the original on which it was based). Following was underrated. I dont know how he will top Inception, and I really dont think he'll try. Thanks again!

  • @invincibleironman3

greath thing about a nolan is he focuses his time and energy on the project at hand.

  • @DoubleAAProduction88 ...with a film 10 years in the making (Inception), I'll say he focuses his time alright!

Please continue to put together these types of tributes. One for Quentin Tarantino would be cool, too.

  • @invincibleironman3

im planning on doing a coen brothers one, but QT? ill put him up there on the list. ;)

  • @DoubleAAProduction88 you should have put the big and loud BBRRRRAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMM from the Inception OST when Nolan's named appear... idk it makes your video more badass... nice work anyway..

  • @huatist

    good suggestion

  • @huatist ...yeah, nice idea...BBRRRRAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMM is a very eerie and final exclamation point on the build up of film credits. Outstanding job.

  • My favourite director ever!

    Nice work ^^

  • @MapOfYourHead135

he's already in my top 5. nolan's the next kubrick, i can see it.

  • hey goodwork i gotta say you put good work into this i thought it was incredible. all the films that were masterpieces and he is a modern day Stanly Krubrick. and nice music Hanz Zimmer all the way. thumbs up

  • @three3levels

thank you, it was a fun video to make. i totally agree, he's todays kubrick.

  • @DoubleAAProduction88 i hope he keeps it up i cant wait for batman 3 and superman

  • @three3levels

well...zack snyder is doin' superman, nolan is only producing. but the two of those guys together, that should create some magic.

  • hey goodwork i gotta say you put good work into this i thought it was incredible. all the films that were masterpieces and he is a modern day Stanly Krubrick. and nice music h

  • To this song, my mind is going INSANE! Everyday after school i walk im like "Is this reality, what if i wake up and im a 13 year old guy..." Its so creepy. What if this is a dream and you guys are fake and gay x)

  • He's able to create the creepiest and genuinely frightening characters - and in the age we live in where it takes a lot to shock someone, that's pretty much a thing of genius.

  • Wish you have added Nolan's Doodlebug (1997). Otherwise this was still EPIC. Good Work.

  • @getclutch72 yah i should've done that. that was an amazing short film, but im sticking with features here.

  • If you like Chris Nolan's films you should see " Doodlebug" on youtube. It is a short film made b Nolan

  • @TheCobraagent

yah i've seen that short film before, we watched in my directing class at palm beach state.

  • Wow!!! This video was fantastic! I'm a big Christopher Nolan fan as well. I love the man's work!! I really truly admire his screenwriting abilities because they seem almost limitless. His characters, story structure, pacing and overall since of visual style comes off the screen like no other directors does. He really is one of the best modern day filmmakers we have. Hans Zimmer is quite brilliant as well. Again, this video was fantastic! Thumbs way up & Faved!

  • @quis666

couldn't have said it better myself. im glad u like the video.

  • Excellent video!! All of Nolan's films have been great so far. The man has such a great imagination and visual style and it shows a lot in his films. By far one of the best working today.

    10 out of of 10!!!

    Liked and favorited!!

  • @christopherSmac

im glad you liked it. :D he really is an amazing filmmaker, no one quite like him since kubrick in my oppinion.
