If the refs wanted the Steelers to win so badly then why was it that on a play where Roethlisberger found Holmes on a BIG third down play that should have sealed the game right there, the refs called Justin Hartwig for holding in the endzone which gave the Cardinals a safety and set up a free kick to set up the go ahead score. Replays showed that he didn't hold he was just bowled over.

The Steelers controlled the entire pace of the game until the 4th quarter. Actually if you look at a lot of NFL stats, the losing team often racks up more yards than the winning team because they're trying to air it out in a comeback attempt. This was proven by Mike and Mike a few years ago who read off numerous stats and how the losing QB throws for more than the winning QB much of the time. It was 20-7 after 3 quarters until the Cards woke up. The Steelers almost choked.
Oh and if you think everything went Arizona's way until the last 2 minutes then you're blissfully ignoring the first 45 minutes of the Steelers dominating the game. Cards woke up in the 4th and Steelers made one hell of a drive to win.

The Cardinal defense started to shut down the Steeler offense by the time the 4th quarter came around, forcing 3 straight 3 and outs for a total of -21 yards before giving up the 78 yard game winning drive. They had the game within their grasp with just 2:37 on the clock and then they fell apart and choked after the finally got the lead.
That's not what you said the first time. You said the first time that everything was going Arizona's way, which wasn't entirely true. Then used stats to back it up, meanwhile they were throwing in the 4th quarter to make a comeback while the Steelers were running the ball and being more conservative, so naturally the Cards ended up with more passing yardage.

The Cards didn't choke by any means. They did exactly what the needed to win the game but just got outplayed by a slightly better team. Playing your heart out isn't a choke.

Other than that the Cardinals had more total yards, more yards per play.and more first downs. Again, when everything is going your way and you have the lead in the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl with about 2 minutes left and your defense gives up a very late TD, you choked!

The Steelers controlled the entire pace of the game until the 4th quarter. Actually if you look at a lot of NFL stats, the losing team often racks up more yards than the winning team because they're trying to air it out in a comeback attempt. This was proven by Mike and Mike a few years ago who read off numerous stats and how the losing QB throws for more than the winning QB much of the time. It was 20-7 after 3 quarters until the Cards woke up. The Steelers almost choked.

Oh and if you think everything went Arizona's way until the last 2 minutes then you're blissfully ignoring the first 45 minutes of the Steelers dominating the game. Cards woke up in the 4th and Steelers made one hell of a drive to win.

The Cardinal defense started to shut down the Steeler offense by the time the 4th quarter came around, forcing 3 straight 3 and outs for a total of -21 yards before giving up the 78 yard game winning drive. They had the game within their grasp with just 2:37 on the clock and then they fell apart and choked after the finally got the lead.

That's not what you said the first time. You said the first time that everything was going Arizona's way, which wasn't entirely true. Then used stats to back it up, meanwhile they were throwing in the 4th quarter to make a comeback while the Steelers were running the ball and being more conservative, so naturally the Cards ended up with more passing yardage.

For every super bowl victory you will have fans of the losing team CRYING fowl. Whether it be officiating, injuries or simple hurt pride. IMO this game was the single best in a last effort to win a hard fought game to date. No other SB game ended in such a fashion. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand it was reviewed so many times and was CLEARLY a touchdown. No debate. Analyze all you want. EVERY superbowl has missed calls and botched plays on both sides of the field.

Great Superbowl. Me as Cardinals fan, I have to give it to the Steelers, they were the bettert eam. There are players that I love on the Steelers like Polamalu, Wallace, Roethlisberger, Ward, Clark, Harrison, Woodley and others, That was a crazy run by James Harrison making it a 100-yard interception return td.

alright. Both teams had a shit load of talent. Cardinals had two great recievers and a hall of fame qb. Steelers had ward, holmes, and troy. nuff said.Its over so theres no point in talking smack. cmon it was an AMAZING superbowl and both teams played great. no question.
