I remember this well! A great way to usher in the weekend as a child. Can't remember if it went straight from this to LWT. Certainly 'The Young Doctors' with its curiously muffled theme tune would be up next.

Great to see the cartoon ending of Children's ITV - I was a toddler then and only vaguely remember it, but that ending tune has stuck in my mind. Yes, GeorgeASFTHM, I can remember Supergran presenting this as well - the first presenter to say "after the adverts" instead of "after the break". Being honest I suppose!

I can remember when Supergran was the guest presenter in the Children's ITV studio (1986 ish), and on Fridays they edited the cartoon at the end so that an animated Supergran appeared with the message "have a nice weekend".
In the Central region, it meant that either Diff'rent Strokes or Blockbusters was coming up on Fridays after Children's ITV ended in the 5:15 slot.
