  • i was so glad the cheater lost.

  • @r3ddevill, I have never heard of that lifting your finger rule in backgammon...it's not chess. In backgammon it is your turn until you pull your dice from the board, no moves are set in stone until then. I have a 20 year old set that still has the book that came with it and it says the same thing. Is there some higher pro rule perhaps that this is true for?

  • Trevoc, the players are playing in a closed, private room and there is a video feed to a large screen in another room where the spectators are seated.

  • If I were to play in such a noisy tournament, (if you can call this fiasco a tournament) I'd be too distracted to play my best. Like chess tournaments, I'd rather have it quiet..............thats when I play my best. No wonder I don't play in Yahoo anymore...too many people want to distract me by asking me where I am from and have idle chat while I want to play my favorite game.

  • @Trevoc2 whats your chess rating ?

  • @mcpartridgeboy sorry Mc, I may have not phrased my comment correctly. I meant quiet like they have in chess games.....otherwise, Im no chess player. sorry for the confusion. I'm a backgammon player from way back when and always searching for someone to play, but most like to talk while playing or double and double etc.

  • @Trevoc2 you can play on FICS... the best free chess server in the world :)

  • Funny all these comments of the guys from Turkey, Iran or Greece who claim they are born with backgammon and surely play much better than the Monto Carlo finalists.

Strange that in the finals of the world championships these people from the eastern mediterranean are never seen (exception Ben-Zion from Israel who won once). Why? Because they cannot play. They play so bad they do not even realise that this is simply another league. The style from 2000 years ago is, well, outdated. :-)

  • @rolline anytime, anyplace... we play backgammon for fun, not to win tournaments... Also, how many other games other than backgammon or checkers do you know how to play with this gaming board?? I personaly know 4 more plus one me and my friends made up ourselves... So, instead of just spewing bs allover, come to Greece and let us teach you a few tricks... Then go and win any tournament you wish!! ;)

  • i don`t know how old are this guys, or for how long did they played this game, or if this really is a finale championship, 1 thing is sure: this are amateur, not pros, this is worst ever, no one is really capable to move the right pieces (defensive/attacking) when they have to be moved...i played since i was born, even if i am just 21, to much games of backgammon to take this as something real. if is so easy i could win really easy. Romania rullz on this game

  • @r3ddevill I agree with you, they are definitely amateurs. My family is also from Romania, and I've been playing for over thirty years. Viva Romania!

  • @Trevoc2 this kinda of play is stupid, they move back and forward the pieces, wtf is this how we call it in Romania "bambilici"? is just wrong, my dead grandpa wold kick their asses just buy touching the pieces the same piece of backgammon after they mooved :[ wrong wrong wrong

  • @r3ddevill You are right, once you move your finger off the piece, you've finished that move. So, whatever goes on in this video is not a tournament, its a circus of clowns.

  • At the First roll the guy rolls 6-3 and he played 3 -5...

  • "None of this doubling nonsense?!" jeez...

  • lol! Pick a random guy from Bulgaria, Turkey or Greece and he'll give these amateurs a good lesson.

  • @sokaboy Yup - we know how to play for real, none of this doubling nonsense or "ABC", bring in the Mediterraneans!!!

  • @sokaboy why not Iran? Iran is the mother land of backgammon and its Iranian game which called Nard means war in Persian and still in many countries such as Georgia and those which where part of Persian empire even their language is not Persian but they still count the numbers in this game using Persian numbers. I love this game . no matter where it come from its because is as you play more you become better and its very exciting to see the dice if you really need a specific number.

  • @sokaboy : you for got to mention iran;)

  • @sokaboy yeah playing inferior games while your all shit at chess the main game

  • hahahahahahaha i didnt realize the image was reversed till 9:47 lol

  • this sux.the greeks and turks players are by far the best players in backgammon, they make correct moves in half of the second.backgammon is not chess.they can beat these guys if they bring 36 times str8 1,2 in dices.

  • Sure they can rather they could NOT Now internet games are rigged as hell

  • wow i have no idea about backgammon but this seems to be very special game!!

    interesting..

  • @Wismer1987 it is a very interesting game. Not as complicated as chess but it is interesting.

  • dude, how can the ref miss that? that first "6-3" move ay caramba! world championship my ass..

  • Then u are hardly a top player. I win an average of 0.2 point per game over 4500 games online. In matches I win more like 0.3 ppg, just because matches are harder to play.

To beat a rake of approx. 5 % u need to win about 53 % single wins.

  • Clearly it is a foul, but it is the opponent's responsibility to call the director to overturn it. As you see in "about this video," he didn't catch it either. Judging by the low quality of this video, i take it the 07 Championships weren't televised?

  • the first 6-3 move is foul, isn'n it?

  • Justice was served!

  • gross
