the head bearings on that sewing machine really aren't designed for that so after a while you mght see the bearings start to wobble, you might want to consider replacing them with more suitable ones
To prevent problems of "overload" in the bearings and gears, I just use the machine for light materials, like wood or aluminum fine and thin, and so it works well!
