I want to shower you with kisses! Thank you so much for sharing your experience and talents with us. Just by watching you, I was able to break down so many barriers I had set upon myself (like, drawing it right the first time) as well as showing me quicker ways of accomplishing the same goals. Thank you!
I love seeing this kind of thing! Especially when the artist is as awesome as you are. Two questions: The window where you can slide up and down color gradients? (around 17:00) What is that? And how do you get to it? and also: What were you doing with that pruple smudge around 24:45?
@Lunastunas That is Hue/Saturation, under Image>Adjustments. And the purple smudge is just a swatch of the color I used for my multiplied shading layer.
Watching this come together was awesome and enlightening! I wish I had a little more detailed insight into how you handle shading in what I assume is a
reduced opacity layer on multiply (around minute 19:00 & onwards).
What brush/setting do you use?

@bmente that's exactly what it is! a multiply layer. And I changed the hue/saturation of it a bit afterwards. Pretty basic!

@verabee what does multiplying a layer do exactly? *is new with the whole digital art thing*
