I was very surprise to hear them say panko breading and I had to come here to listen to it again. Panko is basically Japanese breadcrumbs. Pan= bread ko=powder. By the way, the pronunciation is pahnko Not sure why they just don't say breadcrumbs.

For one thing, it's waaaay better than fehhsh (because it isn't fish, it's FEHHSH). Why is it everyone broadens their vowel sounds these days: "Say yahhs to the drahhs." It's getting worse and worse. A short e sound is "ahh". A short i sound is "ehh". Fifteen years ago we would've called it "Valley Girl speak". Now it's just idiotic, a low-IQ dialect that seems to say, "See, I don't give a shit about pronunciation." The jaw drops lazily to the chest.
