@Dery1990 just about all movies are rendered in more widescreen resolutions that 16:9. For example what they sell as "720p HD" is actually 1280x540 as opposed to 1280x720, resultin in black bars.

Btw, I have bought the same monitor today and ps3 is sucessfully connected throught the cable with 1080p full hd resolution.

You cannot transfer sound through a DVI cable. So I dont know if you can transfer the sound through the DVI end of the HDMI - DVI cable.

You dont have sound because of your cable. Get HDMI-HDMI if you have HDMI connection. If its not pssible you should just connect your audio with another cable.

I was looking at this monitor for a while, costs about 195-200€ here. Then the store got the G2220HD which I presume is a newer version of the screen; 40.000 DCR opposed to 10.000 DCR, I prefer all black to black/silver as well and the price of 170-175€ is welcome :)

I suppose that the monitor is the one with hdmi port and you connect the xbox in that port, isn't it? (I say it coz i've found an old version of E2200 HD without hdmi port, 40 € cheaper than the one with hdmi port.)

The version without HDMI is the E2200HDA. With HDMI is the E2200HD.

I do recommend this monitor for 360. Ive used it for 5 months now! I don't regret it a single bit!

it doesent have component cable inputs but my brother got a converter for component to vga so you can use it on any monitor, well worth it, and youll be able to use your xbox on any screen

Your xbox360 setting must be wrong since your game is running with washed out looks. It is best to use Expanded (0~255) on the Xbox360 since the E2200HD is expecting 0~255 range.

Wow... this monitor is seriously awesome!!!! I'm lovin' it, hahaha! I've been checking out this monitor for a while now! I mean for 1080p + 1920x1080 res. + 2 ms (GTG) + HDMI and full HD, I don't think there is much more you can ask for at a monitor that costs around $200 bucks, right? Great video man! I just wish you posted a HD version of the video hahaha.

Oh yeah! I forgot to mention as well! My friend recently bought this. And for all you fans out there of CS: Source, COD4, or COD5, the E2200HD runs SOOOO WELL with those games (well it's the 3 games he loves most, so it's the only ones he tested). Hahah. But yes, AWESOME quality!!!!

Definitly. Full HD looks much smoother. HD movies are made for this resolution, so is the xbox 360/PS3.

Crysis can be played on 1920x1080. Just not with the maxed out settings. You don't have to go quad sli. A solid 4870 will work just great. Just see it yourself, you'll be amazed.

Hey I'm getting the same monitor in a couple of days and I was just wondering if there is a component imput (for a xbox 360). If there isn't what do I have to buy to get 1080p. I'm also going to be using a Ps3 (HDMI) with the monitor if that's possible.

You should tweak around a bit. I got my brightness at 50%, otherwise its just to bright for me. Just play with the sliders. Then you'll have your personal best settings :)

For sure, this Benq is a good buy! I also read the monitor foot was kinda poor. I actually think its pretty decent. You can move the screen back and forth in some pretty decent angles. It's also quite sturdy. If you never change your monitor stance, you'll never notice!

There is no headphone jack. It may look a little bright because of the camera. Anyways, there are a lot of options to from in the menu. So you can change color balance etc.

Sure! Just connect the 360 to the back with HDMI. My PC uses the DVI port. For the sound of the 360 I use the cable that came with the monitor and connected it to the left side of the monitor right into my speaker's subwoofer.

You need a HDMI cable to connect the 360 with the monitor. Which means you don't need a VGA cable.

As Dery1990 said it looks normal in fact HD content was intended specifically for the resolution this monitor is native at so its even better than most other non 1080 22"'s

Before this, I had the Samsung 2032MW LCD/TV monitor. I didn't like it because of the ghosting and lack of 360 support.

I have a 2032NW and am considering getting this (I was too stupid and didn't notice lack of dvi). Is the higher resolution making it hard to see text? It's a bit of a loss in height but a gain of 30 pixels.

It's a preference. The resolution makes it much smoother/finer. You're gonna notice text being more little than other monitors. It takes some time to get used to. You gotta love it, and I do love it a lot!

sometimes in games when theres a lot of lights and shit i get scaling artefacts liek some lines going up and down like in dead space first elevator etc it sucks but oh well

Yep I guess so. Because older games don't have 1650x1050 nor 1920x1080 support.

No, its just a marketing trick. Its just 5ms, the 2ms GTG means grey to grey response time. You should look for more info on the web.

At lower resolutions, the monitor doesn't display correctly. Resolutions that will work 100% are 1650x1050 and 1920x1080.

I'm pretty much sold on buying this monitor. I wanted a 16:9 monitor to use for my Xbox 360 and watching Blu-Ray. I do have a question though...

What other monitors did you consider and what made you decide upon this one?

I had a few other options like the Acer V223HQ and Iiyama E2208HDS. Both are 16:9 but don't have a HDMI port.

The E2200HD does have one, its so easy to connect my 360 or laptop. Also a lot of good reviews made me buy this monitor.

Before, I had my eyes on some 24" 16:10 monitors. But the price difference made me go for 16:9.

For 360 it's a great monitor. I would recommend it for sure. Its very cheap! However that is if your using it as a PC monitor as well. Otherwise, you may want a bigger screen, 22" isn't that exciting for 360...

Its really up to you. Will you be satisfied with 22" or do you want a bigger 32''? Then there is a noticable difference between FULL HD and HD ready. You won't regret buyin the Benq, I had it for 180 euros. 4-6 months is a long time...
